I don't think there are any this time.

The new Major Nelson Live stats shows MW2 storming straight into the top on its first week.

Interestingly, MW is still second, and WaW 4th. Only Halo 3 at 3rd is breaking up a clean sweep.

Did anyone expect MW2 wouldn't be at the top? If so, we should take them 'round back and shoot them.

I don't know - some people have some strange views about the GotY.

MW2's metacritic score is trending down, AC2's is trending up. They're almost even now.

Considering AC2 is innovative and MW2 is refined, GOTY is clearly not clear cut.

How are your knuckles BTW?

Well I'm off to play it now - I find myself less than perturbed that its rating has fallen from 96 to 94, making it only the 6th highest scoring game ever on the 360.

Yahztee pokes fun at the silly story and game length here, but thought the graphics/engine are polished and really liked Spec-Ops.

And that's without even playing proper MP, which is awesome.

It was awesome two years ago, it's not really different now aside from the overpowered killstreaks.

Based on your extensive knowledge of YouTube vids no doubt.

Having actually played it, it's better than MW1, in lots of small but important ways. The maps are better (and there are more), the spawns are better, the matchmaking/lag is better (odd that some have reported delays - I think it's the smoothest matchmaking system ever in any game I've played), grenades aren't overpowered, perks are more balanced, and so on.

I wouldn't expect you to understand as you don't play MP.

I've got SO MUCH MONEY I buy tons of games with no time to play them all.

MP is for poor simpletons who can't afford more games. That's why the demographics of XBL MP players are that of 13 year old boys (with a distinct "fap fap fap" echoing in the background), and British liberal arts graduates.

Man up and admit it - you don't play MP because you don't have the skill to compete.

The serious problem is I've got too many games to play and not enough time as it is.

On the PC I've got Fallout 3 (it's no longer crashy, they patched it, but I haven't had time to play), Mass Effect (wanna do a PC replay to prep for the sequel), Overlord II, Left 4 Dead 2, Borderlands, LOTRO + DDO (in moderation right now).

On the Wii I've got New Super Mario Brothers and No More Heroes.

On the 360 I've got Assassin's Creed 2, Forza 3, the GTA4 DLC, and CoD:MW2 (xmas).

On the PS3 I've got Uncharted 2 (almost done SP, but have yet to try the supposedly great co-op -- its campaign is SIGNIFICANTLY longer than MW2's), the new Ratchet and Clank, and Killzone 2.
