  • Finished it. Finally. I can now (hopefully) stop spending 10-16 hours per day in the man cave. I haven't been that hooked on a game in a loooong time. I woke up in the middle of the night a couple nights ago hypoglycemic, in a half dream I was trying to decide whether that required a health poultice or a lyrium potion. Near disaster.

I've already restarted, but hopefully I can make myself spread it out a little more this time.

Anyone else playing on PS3 and having freezing issues? Kinda wish I'd upgraded my PC -- game would be better with more camera options. Targeting is a little tough on console as well.

    • Still playing it (had to skip two weeks because of work-related business). What slightly frustrates me is the amount of non-stop combat. I'm accustomed to more interleaved combat and dialogues. I'm in the abandoned dwarven city right now, and without a lot of kiting the battles flow into each other, not allowing me to regen. And I don't like kiting.

      • Tis a grind at points, I'm also in the Deep Roads, but took a break from it yesterday.

LOL, I was wondering how you guys got ahead of me. I only play a few hours a day at best.

        • The Deep Roads was my least favorite part. The boss battle in that one is a ****ing bear.

            • I've already killed quite a few "red" Shirts in the first two places there. Those are bosses, no?

Anyway, I'm sure the one you are talking about is still on the agenda.

Seems like if you follow the main quest there are 3 places, one after the other, that you can go to, but there is a fourth place, just below the main tairg (tarig?) tat you can also go to, but I have not gone yet, hoping that it will be part of the main, if not, I visit later.

Thank God, they put that dufus about halfway through the second one so you can shed some gear. Doesn't help much as I'm starting to get full again.

              • I'm talking about The Boss Battle for the Deep Roads. The big one, the end one. That **** took me a good long while; Wynne's resurrection ability was used more than once.

                • I don't even have Wynne yet. I'm using my standard party of the PC (rogue), Alistair, Rapist the dog and Morrigan.

                  • Fixed the DLCs and decided to turn back. Got Shale. Bioware got tired of inventing new characters and reused HK-47. I think I'll go to Soldier's Peak now.

Just reform your party and leave only Morrigan it it. Or add Leliana, and she will persuade her for you.

iirc I asked her to release him in my custody.
Although I didn't asked for her blessing, I made a donation before, not sure if it helped or not.
Leliana was present, I don't remember if she helped or not.

                            • Dear God, this game is addictive! I got my copy in Monday, installed it after work, and when I forced myself to turn it off and go to bed it was 1 AM. Last night it was closer to 2 AM. I'm going to have to muster some willpower tonight.

                              • I did the Ashes last night, didn't even have to fight the dragon, though I did have to fight Korgrim before that. I just ran past the ledge where the dragon was sleeping both on the way in and on the way out, no need to blow the horn at all.
