  • A romance question.
    Spoiler:
Is there no way to prevent Morrigan from breaking up with me after I get her the real grimoire? She won't sleep with me anymore because she has feelings for me.

    • Not positive about it, but
      Spoiler:
I think if you lose enough standings with her it won't happen. It seems to be based on the current reputation level, and giving her the real grimoire is a huge increase.

      • To the best of my knowledge, it's a one-time deal sorta thing, onodera.

Sort of. Further explanation of that would be spoilerish.

        • Okay, I resolved my previous problem by destroying the plot item. Moar sex for my dwarf.
Right now I'm deeply entrenched in politics.
          Spoiler:
I don't think it's possible to keep both Loghain and Alistair in the party, so now I'm simply trying to get Anora and Alistair to rule jointly. I think I almost got that done. I'll defeat him in the duel and kill him myself. If that won't work, I'll need to lose the vote and kill him in self-defence. I hope that won't trigger Riordan's offer

          • You can't totally avoid it:

            Spoiler:
If you lose the vote, there's a battle followed by a duel. If you win the vote, you just have the duel. Riordan will appear with the offer after the duel regardless. You don't have to accept the offer; you can either kill Loghain and keep Alistair, or Alistair will leave the party and you get Loghain in his place.

If you do choose to to keep Loghain, go back to before the Landsmeet and strip Alistair of everything valuable, because he'll take it all with him when he goes.

            • Finished the game with Urist (what other name could I give to a dwarf?) Aeducan, my Dwarf Noble.
I think I'll trash my first char, Samuel Cousland the Human Noble and start a new, female Human Noble, Cumslut Cousland. I'll make her the ****ing queen.

                • All hail Queen Cumslut the ****ing Queen!

My next char is an Arcane Warrior/Blood Mage elf named Hakim. He already managed to get Alistair to -100 disapproval.

                  • LOL, I'm having trouble finishing my first play-through....not going to be a second one I'm afraid.

I'll just plod through the rest of the plot only at this point if I can only find the time to finish.
We're sorry, the voices in my head are not available at this time. Please try back again soon.

The only thing my Hakim misses are treads, otherwise he's a ****ing tank.

                      • I finished my playthrough earlier this week. I really enjoyed it - it's a solid game.

                        • I got late to this game, just got to finish all the gather allies quests, and man this game is awesome.

My first char was a human noble archer rogue, but I got my ass kicked constantly, so I restarted with Duran Aeducan, Dwarven Noble Fighter, specializing in weapon + shield, with which I pretty much kicked ass constantly. I now know what I was doing wrong: I had ditched Alistair for being too good, and had no real tank (Sten and the dog got dropped constantly, since they didn't have that much armour).

I'm being good now, so I'm taking Leliana, Wynne and as a fourth I used to have Alistair, but in orzammar I switched to Oghren, and afterwards to Morrigan, for the extra firepower (my char can tank no problem alone now). Every now and then I swap Leliana for the elven assasin guy, who is just perfect to stealth up, head for enemy mages and dice them up.

My last mission was to rescue the queen, and upon trying to leave, this chick tries to arrest me. Now, first time I decide to turn myself in (in-character option seems to be that, and then I escape the prision. So i decide to try and fight, and it turns out it's one hell of a tough fight, but after two or three tries, I managed to beat it. I'm now wondering which of the two saves I should continue with...

                          • I'd stick with whichever one is further along, probably the one where you stood your ground. It's not a really game changing decision from my understanding.
                            John Brown did nothing wrong.

                            • It was a very rewarding fight... I had to constantly micromanage all my chars, and actually use consumables for once (other than the ocational poultice).

                              • Yes, the sword chick is probably the hardest fight in the game. I still miss a possibility to go aggro on her, Loghain and Howe if playing as a human noble when they visit Arl "My Familiy Is Incredibly Annoying" in Denerim.
