It updated to 1.01 which broke the game, can't launch due to a "configuration error". Turns out I need to jump through MORE hoops to get "EAAccess" (EA's activation ****) to register properly and edit some .inis to get the ****ing game to load.

OR I could crack the game WHICH WORKS JUST FINE.

Now I remember why I don't buy PC games.Pirate.

Now I remember why I don't buy EA games anymore.

Incidentally, if you take on Morrigan's "companion" quest, be ready for a big ****ing fight.

I can't walk around Denerim now, because of Ser I-Have-a-Santa-Claus-Beard-and-You-Will-Duel-Me from the marketplace. I told him to get lost, so now any random encounter in the city is him ambushing me with a gang. He's a tough enough mother****er on his own, but together that slaughter my party.

Doesn't ring a bell. Maybe I managed to kill him the first time.

Alistair with all the Blood Dragon armor = killing machine, especially with three mages backing him up. (Or two mages and one archer, or two mages and one pissed-off dog.)

Bedded the witch. My next cocktarget will be the bard girl. She doesn't have enough dialog options yet to woo her with, though.

I actually just managed that. Didn't think I could after Morrigan, but it is possible. It happened after securing the treaties in Redcliffe, the Mage Tower, and with the Elves, and also after resolving her personal quest.

I like her French (okay, Orlesian) accent.

I've gotten to the point where I don't even like Morrigan, she is a total ***** and is not happy with my goodie-2-shoes mage. I have not tried any of the romantic options, with anyone, not sure that I want to (ewww).

Currently rolling with Wynne, Allister, and Sten. Although the tanks are coming into their own, my mage makes the party tick with the cone of frost. That combined with the stonefist (both I and Wynne have it), means that two of the enemies are going down pretty quick. I can pretty much constantly cast with my character if needed. I have enough offensive spells to where the cool downs refresh before I can cycle through them all. And I bought 99 piles of lythium dust at the vendor in the mage tower.

Spoiler:

I had no trouble with the assassin ambush for instance (where you can get the other rougue for your party), some people have had trouble with this one. Also, I seriously recommend doing the mage tower quest first, you get all sorts of perm stat increases that will help later on.

Had a CTTD last night one starting the dialog with the last "Connor" demon in the Fade. Restarted the game and all seemed well, but started having really bad graphical issues in (can't remember the name of the city, but it is on the far east side of the map (Denndrian or some such).

I was a few driver updates behind (about 1 month), so updated those. I'm hoping the glitches are remains of the CTTD. Prolly should have rebooted, but the strange part was, I played for quite a bit after the CTTD and only saw the glitches ~ 1-2 hours later. I sure hope it is not a system issue.
