    • Think I found the issue with combat- you subtracted the wrong way.

      Survivors = Difference / Tech Level, round up.
      So Spaced didn't take 27 casualties... that's what's left of his army.

        Okay so combat is not totally broken.

        Looks like the game is going to have to be delayed again.

            • DC, you are not getting it.

              I had no armies defending my territory, I suspect the same was true for MJW and Jonny.

              Therefore, each battle needs to be processed in order and a new map drawn after each one. There will be no defenders in any of the battles.

              I suspect that MJW takes my territory, I take his, then jonny get some of my new border colonies. Depending on when jonny sent his orders compared to mine.

                In the rework I didn't leave any forces defending for you.

                But the most cities that Jonny could have taken were 4 because that was all he bordered.

                In a two-way conflict, only the winner takes territory. And Jonny sent his orders after you.

                As you can see in war 3, there are no people defending your territory.

                Jonny DID have people defending his territory.

                And your war vs. MJW was a two-way attack. Therefore only the winner (you) gains cities.

                When two nations attack each other on the same turn, the armies first fight each other. Compare strength:

                A1 * A1T vs. A2 *A2T

                A1 = attacker 1's army size

                A2 = attacker 2's army size

                A1T = attacker 1's tech level

                A2T = attacker 2's tech level



                The loser's entire attacking army is destroyed. The winner's attacking army takes casualties based on the difference.
                theben is correct that I need to recalculate the survivors, but beyond that, the map and everything else is correct.

                Apparently SURVIVORS are calculated differently for two-way wars instead of in single conflicts:

                In two way wars...
                Survivors = Difference / Tech Level, round up.

                Taking casualties [In a One way war]

                Attacker takes casualties as follows:

                Casualties = D / AT.

                Defender takes casualties as follows:

                Casualties = (D / DC) * cities lost.

                • 153-126=27 armies remaining for SC.
                  Thus, he also has +126 gp.
                  547+126=673 gp.

                  that should clear that up.

                          • hmm I think spaced should only have 3 cities.

                            ((27/9-0))*(10/9) = 3.3 = 3 cities.

                            This way of counting makes much more sense. This is because I killed all but 27 of Spaced Cowboys units on the field.

                            I this is not true then I am totally dead. Spaced will use my horse agaisnst me and crush me. If anyone wants to help out for any reason PM me. I doubt that will happen.

                              So it is:

                              ((180/9)-(170/14))*(10/9)

                              Just as he did above.
