My bad on the zero taxes; I read this:

Darkcloud, is there any reason to continue to post the cost of techs 2-5 as 1 gold each? While it is interesting to note that new techs cost 1 gold once all societies have them, I don't see anyone researching them again

It's a valid point, but it's easier to leave them in since they're generated automatically.

So with the change in number of cities, my math on armies lost is now:
17/6 * 2 = 5.6666 correct?

Yes, you're right. I'll fix your army count : you now have 10; graph is correct.

Oh, I forgot I had adjusted MJW and Thebens' taxes before. I'll get the right numbers in the graph for Spaced and Jonny.

As I reckon:

Spaced:
6*5*5=150
/2 (revolt)
x2 republic
= 150 tax income.

Jonny:
6x5x5=150
/2 (revolt)
x50 %
=( 75+37.5)
=112.5 (rounded up) tax income.

SO:

553 and 615 were the former incomes based on former taxes of:

150x2= 300
and
150x 50% (75)= 225

So:

300-150= 150 less than was listed before
and
225-113= 112 less than was listed before:

So, the graph has been corrected with:

I have another stoopid question.

I assumed that my income either from trades or my cities was borked for this turn as far as my governement was concerned, hence I was stuck at the 1X multiplier.

If not then the trades that I did and the trade monies that I recieved should be also at 2X via the 2X applied to my cities income. (I only assumed 1X in my orders, not that it mattered as I built nothing last turn.

Could we clarify the rule a bit? Once it is clarified, I will recalc my gold to check on DC's calcs. (and may need to tweak my orders).

Actually, I think a sent spy is secret in most cases. Sparrow, Spaced, do you think the rule's different? I can codify it if everyone agrees. What is definitely secret is the # of spies everyone has at all moments.

Can you comment on when the govenment bonus kicks in?

Do you have to wait one turn (like civ), or is it immediate?

So far it's been after caravans, before taxation (tho taxes are still 1/2).

Actually, it's before caravans... for this game- that wasn't the intention, but it's how things have been unfolding. next game the gvt. bonus won't happen until next turn.

However, taxes were collected at the prior government rate.
