Okay, my brother randomly sent me a new Dell gaming computer rig and flatscreen monitor. Probably as a graduation present. Probably also to say "Look sis, I'm sorry I missed ALL THREE of your higher education degrees even though you came out to attend for my ONE college degree so here's a nice computer to make you drool and gurgle oddly and forget my transgressions."
Wait... what?
...
Anyway, a gaming level PC. Yay! So I'm going to start getting relatively new games. Fallout3 for PC will likely be my first purchase, if for no other reason than to get into the modding community. Does anybody know if the add-ons (The Pitt, Operation Anchorage) will be free DLC or do I have to pay for them?"lol internet" ~ AAHZ

maybe someday I'll build a new rig and buy an actual copy of windows so I can play this game. My brother really says it's good.
Though I'm thinking some computers are so cheap to buy now days, maybe it's cheaper to buy one from Fry's at $400 then upgrade the ram, sound, and video card? What are your thoughts?

Cyberplomp hasn't said anything about thread length. It's entirely probable he will want to drop the antiquated 500 posts rule (which we haven't really been following that consistently for a while now anyway) so for now I'm going to leave this thread to grow old.

Edit: Ok - nevermind the above. Found the thread. Whatever.

I now have Fallout 3 for the PC. I had to get a new graphics card to run it, but now it's running very well.
The PC version, as is usually the case, is somewhat superior to the XBox version. I find the mouse aiming is much more precise than the XBox thumbstick, so much so that I often get by without even needing to use VATS. It's also much easier to pick stuff up and drag it into place too.
Once you add in the GECK and the modding capabilities that brings in, it's not even close. I'm very grateful for the XBox experience for introducing me to this game, but now that I have a PC powerful enough to play it on, I'm not playing the console version again."lol internet" ~ AAHZ
