I'm working my way through the side quests on the Craterside supply girl's adventurer's guide. One of the chapter three quests has you go to a location on the South east part of the map, but not in the DC ruins.

I noticed a road from a sewer entrance that I had previously found that lead there, so I quick traveld to there and started down the road.

The road was stocked with raiders that were not a problem, and every so often I would save, just incase.

Finally, right past the Nukacola plant (which I had just found) there seemed to be some raider hangout where one of them even had a missle launcher. There was a mark 4 turrent on the bridge overhead that I had not taken out yet, but did take out waht I thought was all the radiers.

So I go back to loot one of the dead raiders in this huge cluster of old cars. I climb up onto the first couple of cars to get to him. (I killed him while he was in the cars with the Chinese assault rifle).

I'm standing over him about to hit the E button and I here this ping of a bullet hitting one of the cars. I'm not sure if it was me or that freaking turrent, but the next thing I know is I see a huge explosion all around me and then my body floating about 60 feet in the air with all 4 limbs gone, then crashes down to earth.

Luckily I did not have to go back too far on the last save, but kind of funny. Not sure if the turrent fired the shot, or me. My mouse left button is extremely sensitive.

But as par for the course, the game/computer froze on the reloading screen, a good excuse to call it a night.

Has anyone had an issue with having the game in the DVD drive when your computer boots causing the boot to hang or be very slow? (I might have DVD in front of HD in the boot table).
I think I found the same spot. Is it the spot where the chinese radio station comes in? I was ducking for cover when all of a sudden a very large explosion came out of nowhere.

I'm on the road to that I think, I can't remember the exact quest ATM, but that does sound familiar.

There is a road that goes to the south then east around the DC ruins.

On the way, right before it turns east, is this place (or maybe thereafter). Before the turn is the Nukacola plant (which I did not investigate, I suspect there is a quest involved in that one).

I don't remember any radio stations, but I'll check it out tonight.

Snoopy, please read the last line of my post, yes I know where to set it.

        • Im too lazy to check, besides it is easily resolved by ejecting the disk. And it only happens about 25% of the time.

Confirmed it is the Arlington Library area. I finished that quest last night. This time I got smart and blew the cars up myself from a distance.

I have a question: What is the song on the "Three Dog" radio station about Pete and his meat?

            • Next question, is level 11 enough to do the "dish" mission in the main quest?

              • Should be. That mission is actually not very difficult. You basically have to move through two maps and then grab it and run back. Inside there are the usual enemies you'd find outside on the Mall.

That song is on the soundtrack disk that came with the collectors edition.

                      • Yeah, the dish mission was actually pretty easy, I thought. Getting there was the hard part.

When I first saw that Behemoth, I ducked into a doorway and prayed.

                        • Favourite Perk so far?

I just selected the Mysterious Stranger. I'm hoping it's as good as it sounds, if so, definitely my favourite Perk.

                              • I have not experienced any crashes so far. Must be my version of the game.
