    Vgchartz....I thought we agreed months ago that they used made up numbers. Their software numbers are consistently way off of what npd releases.

        They're not reliable when they are estimates. They actually use NPD and other sources to stock the numbers after the fact, which is much more reliable. NPD just captures part of the market.

          PES 8 has been out for 9 weeks on the Wii. Every week it sells less. Last week it sold 2,200 globally.

          The 360 version has been out since October, but it's still selling far more. Last week it sold 10,413 globally.

          Given more time to sell, the 360's lead will continue to grow. Your post is yet again disingenuous.

            You can't be serious.

            Its a group of guys who get sales info from a small number local retail workers and then extrapolate across the market.

            Its not real stats work, its "educated" guesswork, and should not be relied upon for anything other than amusement. Though, I guess you are amused by all this.

                        They can replace the numbers at the top of the charts to reflect what has transpired, they can't for the ones not reported by npd. Unless they have obtained that information unlawfully, of course, which they have not said.
