Boss are not bad; they are fun to play. Whatever you only play them in the Career mode.

IMO, The most fun songs to play are Tenacious D and Raining Blood.

LOL when I saw this thread I thought it was about guitar legends like Santana, Eric Clapton etc.

And I wondered about the interest that could sustain 3 full threads worth of comment.

I'm not a huge fan of Guitar Hero...mostly because I'm just not that good at it, but also because I think the game is pretty boring. Having said that, I'm more excited about Rock Band than for GH3. Time will tell how good it is.

never heard of this game, but saw it at the store tonight.

Do they have any good songs such as thrash and death metal music?

not too bad a track list. tier 8 (of gh3) has the best. Maiden, Metallica, and Slayer. What more could you want?

if I had any musical talent, I would get it.

You don't need any musical talent to play guitar heroes

Are you people kidding? Of course music talent is important to be good at guitar hero. It's not really worth backing up that assertion, I think that the fact that it's a rhythm game suffices.

I feel as if I have walked into a taping of some comedy program where everyone is acting silly because it's their job. What is going on here?

Has anyone not played Karaoke revolution? It seems they are putting the "technology" (which was not really accurate) of scoring vocals into the new Rock band game.

OH ROCK BAND LOOKS SO BAD AND SO EXPENSIVE, if anyone buys that I fear next gen games will end up costing $69.95 instead of $59.95 and vice versa etc.

Wrong - I have fantastic coordination and rhythm skills, and am tone deaf with absolutely no musical skill whatsoever. I have no doubt I would be awesome at GH, and would find it impossible to learn the guitar to any reasonable standard.

You don't need great coordination and rhythm to enjoy it, anyway. I'm mediocre at best there and still love it.
