Because they're rendered. Halo 3 is a pretty good game, but the graphics aren't great.

I really hope this is just to wind Asher up and not actually your real opinion.

Nah. I like the scale of Warhawk better. It fits my idea of what a war game should be like: massive maps and long range weapons. I particularly like standing up on the cliff in Eucadia 32 and killing people from a mile off.

          Have you actually played Warhawk?

Halo 3 is on a much smaller scale (although not as small as GOW). The multiplayer is better than the single campaign. I played a load of matches with friends on my own machine. I've played a few games online. Won a couple. Apparently, there are people who suck worse than I do.

You're missing a word or two to make those sentences meaningful.

Not if you speak the Queen's English and not that funny cave-dialect that you ex-colonial tax dodgers seem to use.

              • The syntax is fine, but the semantics are off. Of course they're rendered, everything is rendered...

Only if you're being deliberately obtuse.

Anyway, this has to be the most humiliating Halo 3 death ever

Any player can take screenshots, and they get uploaded to bungie.net where you can share 'em (as these people have).

I'm glad you think so highly of the graphics.
                    Those are not in-game shots.

No. You were fundamentally misusing technical terms that you don't understand. You probably meant to say pre-rendered, where the operative part is pre, not rendered.

Yes, your meaning was obvious in context, as obvious as the fact that you didn't understand the meaning of the words you were using.

If my meaning was obvious in context (which it was), then why did you bother asking the question, since you already knew, other than to show that you were being a dick (yet again)?

                          In what way?

They are not in-game shots in that that's not what the player sees as he's playing. But they are in-game in that they're taken from Halo 3, from an official feature in Halo 3 which allows you to make films/pictures from your single/multiplayer games you've played.

                          • Agathon: Cough it up -- what's your XBL and/or Bungie.net account?

Has anyone else here played with Agathon or knows what his XBL account is? I want to see his career stats on Bungie.net and see how much he's BSing us.

                            • Didn't you say features like antialiasing were added?

It is important when discussing technical issues to use the correct wording. I'm sure this is even important in filosofical discussions -- what if I confused objectivity with subjectivity? It might still be clear in context, but it's still frickin dumb.
