  • I told myself I'd stop creating female chars, but my rogue is a troll female. I'm starting to get bothered by some of the comments. I was called a ***** and a ho on 2 seperate occasions. I think my name is confusing people. It looks like a genuine female name when it's actually a obscure reference to a female serial killer and psychopath.

Then I was pissed off some level 18 called my hunter a *****. here I am in xraods taking on 2 level 70's by myself, and he calls me a *****? Yeah I kind of am, but pvp doesn't scare me (as I don't take equipment damage which would be real expensive ). Though I admit I still haven't done arena or battlegrounds. I just don't think I'm good enough for those.

The other day I saw a paladin tanking and healing herself in an instance. She was about 3 or 4 levels higher than the bosses, so not too big a deal. But she did die once. . I was with my rogue, I couldn't do much except kill things as fast as possible. The party was moving too fast for me to have time to sap. Didn't need to anyways, as we were so overpowered a wipe was impossible. But it just goes to show a paladin can't tank and heal themselves at the same time. She seemed to do a good job tanking. Using consecration to aggro all the monsters on her. Considering she doesn't have cleave, she needs to. I only pulled it from her on a couple big ambush crits. But she quickly got it back.

Trust me, you're good enough. Besides, it'smore a question of "are you geared enough".

But, it is fun in its own way. I still have fun with the battlegrounds. Really the only reason I still play.

      • yeah there are a lot of *******s and immature people on wow. I've managed to avoid most of them until lately. I don't like being called a ho. . Now I know how women feel

But I admit I find the lowbrow humor funny. somebody created a level 1 char called fudgepaker (I doubt the c would have got by the censors), ran him into ogrimar and I saw him dead, lying face down (as this is how orcs die) near the AH. It cracked me up every time I saw it. He must have had Gamon kill him.

        • Dead bodies are funny.

Several times I saw cases of the alliance running into org and arranging dead bodies (typically human female) such that their names spell out a message.

Also on my Tauren Druid I really liked hanging out in Lagforge, just prowling around and stuff.

One time I prowled into the auction house and switched into bear form right in the middle, to leave a hulking great bear corpse in the middle of their AH.

Speaking of body art, I once saw this in the Deeprun tram:

Try and figure out what it is, LOL.

And since I dug into an old screenshot folder, more funny stuff!

          Druid Love!

Okay posting this doesn't really do me much credit, but whatever

Look at my adoring minions .

I was the scantily clad mascot for the men in robes. But there's no harm in flirting, right? right?

It's possible that not all female nightelf players suffer from unwanted attention

          • and fudgepaker is still there in front of the ah. cracks me up.

as for end game content... I love levelling. I love playing alts.

My new love is rogues. Interesting as I hated my BE rogue. But I didn't give her enough chance, and I was the wrong spec for my playstyle. As I got her to 23 before I deleted her. but 23 is when rogues (at least my troll) start getting good. Poisons help out alot. Dare I say it, rogues are faster at killing than hunters. I slice through things like butter. Unfortunately this made playing my holy spec paladin painful. It takes forever for her to kill something. My troll rogue is up to 33 now. I'm combat spec, and blade furry just turns me on. . but even before blade furry, adds were no problem.

Played my druid tonight. Definately not as powerful as a rogue (talking about cat form). As I lack the ability to sap. I miss sap. but I can heal myself. But that can be hard when facing multiple enemies. Druid at 28 now. And I do like him. I like tauren better than NE's, and don't really regret deleting my NE. In fact, I hate Night elves. But I love the sound the males make when they die. . still need to work on pvp a little with him. I was battling a human mage 1 level lower than me. He was good though, he had skills. We both killed each other at about the same time, as I had a dot working on him.

And I even created another priest, human. But I just can't stand priest. . Ugh. She's only level 8. But she did look really hot with this robe with a slit in the front that went down pretty far. I took off her shirt of course. I really don't plan on playing her. I guess I'll just have to admit I like 8 classes in wow, priests... well no.

              • I was going to, but then realized I had 2 months left of my subscription. It would be a waste not to use it.

I also did my second exerience at tanking. It went better than the first, but I still need work. I have to closer watch mobs that peel off and go for the healer. The biggest problem was everyone in the party was attacking different targets. Especially the rogue who was not sapping. So we had no choice but to face 3 mobs usually, sometimes 4 or 5. 5 is when we wiped a couple times. The problem is the low levels in the parties drew aggro from the mobs. And when I try to pull they just rush in. . The level 18 pally thought she could tank, the level 23 warrior theoretically could, but I still pulled mobs from him. I needed the practice. I was way high for WC (26), 4 levels higher than the bosses, and 6 levels higher the most mobs.

but I put 3 talents in feral instinct of whatever it's called. 15% threat increase. That's more than a warrior's 10% in defensive stance, and I don't get the 10% damage reduction. .

It's still a lot of running around chasing after peelers, and mobs the party decided to attack. It would be easier if the party all attacked the same mob. :sigh:.

But it's really cool when I had all 3 mobs in my front hemisphere, and I just start spamming swipe. At this point none will peel off.

                • I played WoW until about 2 months ago - quit after 2 1/2 years - game got really boring with the expansion - not so much with the levelling from 60 to 70, that was fine, but the grinding and attunements and rep at 70 - and I was never into PVP much so arenas and BG was never much of an attraction for me despite the great gear you get from arenas now.

It is amazing that it is now so difficult to get a 25 man raid group organized - I think that on my server there are as many or fewer 25 man raid groups than there were 40 man raid groups pre-expansion.

Like Dis, I levelled a lot of alts I had (all alliance characters):

70 mage (hate how they've nerfed them in BC)
                  62 priest
                  61 paladin
                  60 hunter
                  60 rogue
                  41 druid
                  40 warrior
30 warlock (probably the most overpowered class by far, one reason I avoided them)
and I had just started a 11 shaman plus I had a few level 11-20s on the horde side on another server.

Admittedly I did play a lot to level up that much, but once you get 1 or 2 60s I found that you level up characters a LOT faster because you know what quests to do and not do as well as having enough professions and loot to make things easier on your alts.

I would be 50/50 at best on going back with the next expansion as I think things are getting worse in the game instead of better - Blizzard is slacking off quite a bit I found.

                  • I had my second experience tonight in an instance, again Deadmines (or as I now know, VC ).

This time went much better, maybe because I am a higher level, maybe because the group was better, maybe both.

We had a level 29 Warrior, a level 25 Warrior, a level 17 Priest, a level 15 Warlock (noob) and myself, a level 24 Druid.

We decided before we went in that I was the primary healer, the priest the secondary healer (not sure that was necessary, we both stayed back and healed, or attacked when necessary.

The warlock on the other hand, seemed to want to lead, and after dying and being resurected a number of times by the priest, finally agreed to stay back and fire spells. We started doing much better after that.

The level 29 warrior complemented me after we were done that I had done well (not sure if he knew what he was talking about, we wiped twice, but I took it as a complement). Both times we wiped I blamed the warlock, who had numerous mobs after him, more then the warriors could take care of.

I did my first resurection too, one time the healer died and I was able to resurect her, that was kinda cool.

The group ended when the level 25 warrior had to go shower because his mom said so (I still laugh at that, just how old are the players I was teamed with anyway??)

Anyway, a much better experience, even if it wasn't completely successful.

                    /me

oh, and I now have a level 6 Undead Warlock....my first alt............first of many ????

I can only imagine how embarrassing that is . I think if I were a teenager and Mom made me stop playing, I'd make up some excuse like "****, my GF is having a baby" or "oh crap the garage is on fire again", in fact I'd make it a artform of coming up with ludicrously unbelievable excuses (at least to people who regularly partied with me so could notice the trend).

                      • I had a good team with a 13 yearold a couple times (is in my guild). It still sounds like your team was noobs, I could do the lower level instances with 3 people (1 Hunter, 1 Druid, 1 Shaman) at a lower level then the bosses (and even many of the mobs) of that instance. I think the last one I did this way was RFD.

                        • I once had a 53 warlock leave (this was maurdan, the rest of us were lower then 50, I was tanking at 48 or something, I think) and we actually did better (finished getting the sceptor) without him.

Skill > level as far as instance goes (as long as everyone is high enough to be there).

                          • And like I said, we would have been better off without the warlock, he kept trying to go ahead, and would result in a number of mobs coming after him, more then we could handle.

I was healing and his health was regularly the one that was going down quickly so I took to using the least of my three healing spells on him. That way I used the least of my mana on the weakest player and saved it for the warriors (or the priest when she got into trouble).

I am not sure how to find out what level an instance is meant for? We tried summoning members of our party at the meeting stone and recieved a message saying we couldn't summon as the member was the wrong level. Not sure what that meant.....do you need to be a certain level to enter an instance?

                            • The stones were changed to only allow appropriate level players to be summoned believe.

You can enter at any level, but they'll have to hoof it there.

The wow map on the wow site has the intended levels i think for the instances. Also, doesn't the LFG tool show it? Haven't looked at that in a while so I can't remember.
