  • My issue with NWN (and I palyed it a lot 4 years ago), is that the UI was crap.

I mostly played it before SoU or HotU though.

    • BG 2 aged more gracefully than NWN, IMO

It's not that bad, and yeah, the x-packs improve things.

        • NWN1 still has a huge fan base. I don't want to say that the sequel flopped, but for some reason the community didn't adopt it as eager as the first.

The UI hasn't changed in the XPs and IMO it's fine as is.

          • There were subtle improvements, though I agree they weren't overly necessary.

            • I never played any of the original campaigned (except part of SoU). I only played user created adventures, which were awesome.

              • hmm, I loaded up wow, just to see what's happening, it appears my guild has been disbanded. I don't know why. Now I definately have no reason to return to the game.

at first I thought me and my alts got kicked out, but I saw another guildmate in another guild. It's possible the guild is still around, I can't find anyone online, I'll try later during the busy part of the day.

I kind of want to play, but I kind of don't want to.

                • you got kicked after not logging on for a week?

I have stayed in the same guild after not logging on for a year

                  • found out the guild leader dissolved the guild last sunday. good guilds are so hard to find. this was a decent one, we did do some instances together, though we had a large level difference in chars. sometimes I could only do instances with my alts. most were in the 40's, 50's range, they didn't power level like me.

and I did play for 1 and 1/2 hours today . damn game. I need to restrict my time, and a couple hours is plenty. I shouldn't have been playing so much.

So now my 67 hunter is without a guild (along with my 34 warlock, and 33 shaman).

my paladin is an officer of a guild, but it's pretty newbie. only 17 people. i need to recruit people, but I'm too lazy. I tried a little bit of recruiting, and it's frustrating. not to mention the guild leader wants it to be a blood elf only guild. very restricting. as we have many paladins in our guild because of it.

                    • Being guildless isn't that bad. Ok, it's bad if you are interested in raiding.

I was kicked from a guild about 8 months or so ago because I had the nerve to not play for a few days during the Labor Day weekend holiday.

I logged on afterwards to no guild. Ha.To be fair, I wasn't pulling my weight in terms of raiding though.

                      I felt liberated.

Some guilds are like jobs. I think "Nihilum" is the absolute top raiding guild at the moment. They apparently are the only ones to have cleared The Black Temple so soon after release. I hear they require 6 hours + a day of raiding just to be considered.

While there might be a physics engine that applies to the jugs, I doubt that an entire engine was written specifically for the funbags. - Cyclotron - debating the pressing issue of boobies in games.

                      • Oh, and I am in a very casual guild now. I can group with them for instances if I choose, and if not, no big deal.

                        • That doesn't sound like a good guild Dis, that sounds like a very casual guild. Which can be good, but they are common.

A good guild, one that can do Kara or better, is much rarer.

                          • My guild is very casual as I mentioned and they have cleared Kara. They have over 200 members though.

They encourage raiding, but you won't get kicked if you don't. On the other hand, you are still welcome to join a raid at any time. Even to schedule attunements.

If I liked raiding, I would feel like i'm in a good guild.

                            • there are a lot of semi-casual guilds, which can't put a raid together, if I ever play hard enough to get to 70 I would want one like yours probably (semi-casual, and does raid)

                              • yeah one that does end game instances, but there is no pressure on you to do so, and is flexible with your spec. some guilds on my server only advertise for prot spec warriors only.
