The hard part for me is finding groups. A guy offered to part last night, but I wasn't in the mood. I'm very thorough in my quests and exploring. I like to do every quest and explore. But every time I part, they want to fly through the areas and go to the "tough" areas as quickly as possible. Which usually leads me to getting my ass kicked and dying. .

Not interested in pvp yet. I'm still not sure how that works. I'm on a normal realm.

I wanted to get on the server/realm my brother is on, but it says it's full. But it still seems like I can join, I just have to wait to play. Is that how it works?

It can start to drag once the levelling gets past the 30's, but mostly if you're playing through again on an different character of the same race.

Finding a group is indeed lacking. Especially for a MMORPG. The reworked Blizzard tool for finding a party needs some help.

My main Paladin and midget mage is on a normal realm too, but you can join battlegrounds after level 10. Normal realms mean you roam the world free of being attacked but can join a battleground to duke it out...or get whomped.

I did make a warlock on a pvp realm to check it out, and it's fun to a point. The tension is most certainly there. He's just another alt that takes my time away from my main character. Which is why my Paladin is only 68.

As far as joining your bro's server, I believe you can join, but a highly populated server means that you may have to wait in a Q to login. Especially if it's a new server.

Oh, and I was in Blizzards LFG (looking for group) tool for an hour one night trying to find a group in the expansion areas for a dungeon.

I had had enough and decided to log off. Right when I was about to, someone messaged me asking if I wanted in on the dungeon I was looking for a group for....

After an hour of waiting, another hour and a half in a hole in the ground wasn't in the cards. My motivation for the run was way way gone by then. I declined.

Yeah, during high traffic times you might have to wait as long as an hour to log on.

Where do I find fast transport? I'm looking for transport in the big city on the night elves island. I need to get someplace else to finish my bear shape form quest (and another quest).

there is a book (one for burning crusade, one for standard)

I remember the one for standard being OK, my rooomate got the one for burning crusade and it completely sucks

He got to level 10 (on his BE Paladin) in 4ish hours, and wasn't efficient at all (was dying a lot).

Actually, for that I think there is a spell, that teleports you to Moonglade.

but I don't know where to catch the boat. I looked around Darnassus, but couldn't find a boat. It's a large city, so perhaps I missed it. maybe moonglade will have a boat?

let me look at a few more faq's and such and see where I can find fast travel.

moonglade does ahve a flight path, I don't know where to (I would expect to Darnassus though)

I am surprised you didn't just ask people... I mean, this isn't the sort of thing that should confuse you for more then 20 minutes...

I was wrong about it being in Darnassus (never been there), from wowwiki:

" Darnassus has no direct transportation routes, unlike other cities. The Hippogryph roost and Boat pier are in Rut'theran Village."

doesn't look like Darnassus has anything, which is why I never found anything. The only thing I found in Darnassus is a portal which takes me to rut'theran village which is on the same island, but innaccessible by land due to mountains. Haven't done anything there yet.

now after a little more posting, back to my game...

and I still have to figure out what to do with my talent points. hmmm

now I did something stupid. I fell off a waterfall. I'm thinking there is no way back up. How do I fix this?

If you are stuck you can try auto unstuck, or hearthstone back to your inn.
