Actually, I got my Wii set up for the Internet, so I will let it update itself. In the meantime, some initial impressions:
I've seen a Wii set up before, but I still am amazed at how small it is. I've got it set up next to my 360, and it is TINY.
WiiSports took me almost no time to pick up and play. The controls are extremely intuitive. The only downside is, as mentioned, having a TV that is not high enough for me to comfortably play while standing up. The Wiimote still works fine and all, it just sucks having to look down.
In a few days I plan on hooking it up to a projector and seeing how it looks. Granted, I've still only got composite cables (component ordered and on the way).
Back to the Wii, updates are finished.
