Exactly. The map editor is coming out in patch #2 if all goes well.

    • Another crash placing track last night.

Also is it just me or is this a cheat: If I buy and sell my stock constantly, I can generate about 10-13k per each bull-sell transistion.

Since I have nothing else to do after I lay my first track but watch the first train go from station to station, why not?
We're sorry, the voices in my head are not available at this time. Please try back again soon.

      • Both are bugs that are being addressed in the patch. There's also a bug with the industries that make it so the person who buys the industry is the only person who doesn't make money off it.

The patch is already released to 2K for QA, so keep your fingers crossed for a speedy release.

        • So, is there any way to delete a track you wrongly put down ?

I know I can select and backspace but sometimes it doesn't work.

For the rest I am having fun with this game.

          • Delete the train that is on it (or move the train to another track temporarily).
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Exactly. As long as you set up an alternate route like running a connected track along side the one you want to delete, you can delete the track. But you can't delete a track that is the only route that a train can run on.

              • For my part, I'm enjoying going through the scenarios and trying to complete all the goals. For the majority of them so far, I can complete them all before the first "era" is over. OTOH, I'm playing on investor level with easy train routing. Still, I find it much more effective giving each train its own dedicated track and at most sharing a platform with two trains, one from each end.

                  • Thanks guys!

I had mislaid a track because it jumped the last moment. I think there should be an undo button though.

Likewise, though it should only function if you have the game paused while laying your track.

                      • I ordered this from play.com because it was cheap enough and had Sids name on it. I have fond memories of transport tycoon, I played railroad tycoon sometime around when I was playing civ 1 and colonization, but it felt dated even then and I couldnt really get into it.

If the game works as some kind of model train simulator then its probably a success and I will get some enjoyment out of it. Not that Im like into toy trains and all that

Any news on the patch? And is there any unofficial official forum for it yet?

                            • Other than it's done and at 2K for QA, no. I know that there's a Hooked On forum that has some developers on it, and is far more friendly than the Gamespot forums. I can't get my http hyperlink to work, so here's the address to cut and paste.

The list of fixes is also on there.
