Round 1.0
The Phantom Menace
For generations before the eventually collapse of the Galactic Empire, crackpots and conspiracy theorists warned of a secret sinister menace, hiding in the shadows and pulling the strings of society. The price of cheese goes up? Conspiracy! Hemlines go down? Conspiracy!
It is not surprising, then, that in the absence of a strong central government to hold things together, the civilised worlds of the galaxy descended into the petty, paranoid squabbling of more than a dozen xenophobic factions.
When the menace finally did show itself to the world, however, it was not the Eventinatti of wild-eyed fantasy. It came instead from the Galactic South, led by a force heretofore heralded as a bastion against the evils of Eventism. A force that was soon to be unleashed on the rest of the unsuspecting galaxy:
The Austral Hordes!
