Don't worry, this wont be the case, unless they have changed something since the demo was released. Most of the time you only see if from standard view, pressing and holding right mouse will make it possible to change the view, but as soon as you stop pressing the button the view goes back to standard view again

Hopefully they have changed it so it becomes the middle mouse button, so we get the right mouse button to scrolling around the map as in other Settlers games

Game has been released, playing it now

        Problems/annoyances I've noticed so far:
        - They still haven't fixed the "right-click doesn't scroll" bug
        - In the demo you couldn't see the "no-gold to soldiers" sign on the houses... now they've made it very obvious: "No-gold" icons are now hovering over the houses (in the same way "Zzz" hovers above ones head when sleeping)... this is like very ugly (but at least better than no sign at all)

From the little I've played so far, it seems like they have gotten rid of having to search the ground to see where there's water (at least my geo's will only 'look' in mountains, so I assume you can build wells all over the place!?! I hope so, as that was one of the annoying things in S2

          Oh, and one other thing:

They haven't included english language files, so the game is German only. And I've been told that it's not possible to copy the English language files from the demo, as that will cause the game to crash

But the game is still fun

              And here's some good news:

You can finally build harbors in "free maps", and to make it even better: The AI also builds harbors

But there's one more bad news (at least bad for me)... I can't start the editor, whenever I try to, I get an error msg "Can't create new document" or something like that

Not worth the effort if I have to translate everything.

Don't worry, you wont have to worry about missing anything if you don't speak German, as there's not much of a story (almost the same as in S2). As long as you're familiar with S2, it wont give you any problems

The hardest part would be finding the game, as all sites who has the game are in German

I'm sure that part would be quite easy actually.

But I'll give it a miss.

Sure, it's not that hard, so anyone who knows his way around can easily find it

Indeed. I am giving it a miss for the reason given earlier.

Good news, an english version has been "released", or at least that's what I've been told. When inserting the "cd" I do get an english menu, haven't installed it yet though, as it requires me to uninstall the German version first, which I haven't had time for yet

Nice. I'll keep an eye open for it.
