Strangely, different people do indeed have different experences here. I've seen some thieving, and seen some other cave explorers. As for having anyone steal from you, that isn't in the game, was apparently removed for balance.

    • I was in Bravil yesterday, and saw a guard chasing City-Swimmer (an argonian thief NPC) around town with a drawn sword. I ran after them for a while. The guard would take a swing whenever he'd get close enough, and Swimmer would take off running again. Eventually the argonian ducked into an inn, the guard pursued, and both immediately came back out with the chase over. Apparently going into the inn reset the AI. I've seen City-Swimmer sneaking around Bravil before after another NPC, so I think she does pickpocket people.

Yeah, like I said earlier, I saw her get killed by a guard in my game. She clearly does something to piss people off...

        • I saw one of the wine guys (Shameer?) sneak, and then pickpocket someone

guards were called and started attacking him, and he ran off...

I entered the city in the hope of saving him, and was successful (I saw him later)

          • Also, is it just me, or does every Dunmer female seem to have a thing for necrophillia?

He'll be a loyal agent of the new imperator and faithful Blade knight, focus on the main quest, never steal or murder and blah.
Heh that's almost exactly the character I played through with, although I admit I gritted my teeth and did all the nasty daedra quests as well as the nice ones.

Once I got up a few levels I went and played with mudcrabs if I wanted to practice blocking and armor skills. They didn't do much damage and a couple of crabs can hit very fast if you're wedged against a rock so you dont get knocked back so your skill improves rapidly

Bingo. This ain't Morrowind's pathfinding. If you run, Umbra WILL get you... she's insanely fast as well, so you have to have a strategy in mind while running.

                        • Another question... Sometimes I get notices on the top of my screen saying some of my stats have been 'damaged'. They stayed red for a long time, till I accidentally checked my stats again much later on and suddenly everything was okay again. Why's that? And why do some stats get damaged? (I'm pretty sure it wasn't because of a disease or something)

                          • "Damage X" is permanent, as opposed to "Drain X". You probably went to a temple, those clear any maladies including damaged stats.

                            • Why are all females in this game butt-ugly? I tried to create a female character and spent a lot of time to get her so-so, although far from being pretty. On the forum I saw some shots of halfway cute girl characters, and their creators admitted, that they spent hours to get her this way.
