      • Annexe II

Annexe I of the Tripartite Pact defined how the bases captured in their attack on the facilities controlled by Colony I would be divided between the allies. It was strongly biased toward Polly Siffan, Director of the Imperial Bureau of Knowledge and traitor to the Imperial cause. Now, we are all well aware of Siffan's insatiable greed, so Annexe I might have been the magnet that drew her to side with two social outcasts, each of whom strives to achieve a different form of revolutionary change in the Empire.

But, once you have sided with the devil, there is no coming back as decent people won't accept you or trust you. Hence Annexe II, pushed by Reverend Banobi, signed reluctantly by Siffan. There Ms. Siffan, there! See where your cooperation with the most evil movement leads you - straight to hell!

There is yet time to change all that. Think about it. Think hard...

        • No Chance

Meanwhile at a base not far away, another outcast, former Commander of the Imperial Army, Lord Vetko felt it was time to get even with the one who exposed his plans for coup d'état to the late Emperor, for which Vetko lost his position and any chance to grab the throne for himself after Emperor's death. But the days of his brilliance in the matters of tactics and strategy are long gone and forgotten.

          Lord Vetko attacks! Min Grah

Lord Vetko: 17LT, 2FT, 5LD, 1FD, 1TD, 7LB, OoB: MLLTFF, close in, spread out, fight to the death
Min Grah: 8FT, 24TT, 4TB, OoB: TMTFFL, back off

What really made the difference and saved Min Grah were not his many torpedoes, but his few fighters!!!

            • Restitutor Imperii

Political analysts working for the Rump Senate have come up with a grim projection: If left unchecked, the Tripartite pact will consume the entire universe. The Empire, or rather few parts of its former glory under Senator Danq's control will not be an exception. And then, after the Tripartite pact will have conquered all, the universe will be plunged into a brutal civil war between the followers of capitalist Siffan, communist Chuss and fundamentalist Banobi.

Desperate times require desperate measures and these were truly desperate times.

Using his Imperial authority, Senator Danq granted Dr. Point full pardon for his terrible crimes of abducting people and forcing them to participate in his unethical experiments, and also for his crime of destroying an entire planet while experimenting with a new type of high energy weapon.

Then Senator Danq invited his old buddy from the heyday of space exploration, Captain Imperium. He may have lost his faith in the Empire, but he was still very loyal to Danq, who had once saved his life on an expedition they lead together. Yes, Danq needed only call him and Captain Imperium would come to help his good friend in any way he can.

The three overlords forged the Pact of Steel, and vowed to never rest until the last remnants of the Tripartite Pact, or as they now called it the Triad of Evil were eliminated. The two overlords allied with Senator Danq formally re-entered the Empire and sent their representatives to the Rump Senate. For this Senator Danq received a new title - Restorer of the Empire, or Restitutor Imperii in Imperialish.

The Rump Senate granted Senator Danq a triumph. The celebrations lasted for 5 straight days. But on the sixth day, there was time for action, as the Triad of Evil would not wait for them to finish their celebrations and prepare. Stay tuned...

              • Imperial Attack

Senator Danq has decided to attack the ring leader of the Triad of Evil - communist menace Kit Chuss. So, a huge fleet was assembled, and just before they set course for Kit Chuss' bases, Senator Danq addressed his army:

"This attack on the notorious radical Kit Chuss is the last measure at our disposal to stop his unlawful and seditious activities. We do not take war lightly and with sadness in our hearts do we resort to this, but we are left with no choice. All our diplomatic attempts have been unsuccessful, so the only way to proceed is the military way. Brave warriors, in spite of our humanitarian nature, have no pity for Kit Chuss and his minions, offer no quarter, for they seek to come to your homes, and steal all your private possessions, even rape your wives and enslave your children. We are fortunate to have such good friends with us, following us on this crucial mission. We thank you Dr. Point, and you Captain Imperium for your loyalty to the Empire and the Senate. Order shall be restored to the Outer Rim, and the Triad of Evil will be crushed!"

Ahed of the fleet, Captain Imperium sent a spy to investigate Kit Chuss' defensive capabilities. The spy sent no word, but that did not deter the allies.

But when they arrived to Kit Chuss' bases to reclaim the Outer Rim, his bases looked strangely peaceful, almost dormant. Danq was suspicious about this, but his two allies pushed forward. Danq followed.

Senator Danq, Dr. Point and Captain Imperium attack! Kit Chuss, but hit shield

The first to impact the shield was Captain Imperium. Dr. Point followed shortly as he could not immediately stop his ships on their fast approach course. Danq was more prudent, so he suffered fewest losses to his shipping.

                Captain Imperium lost 2TB, 1TC and 4TF.
Dr. Point lost 2TB and 1 TC.
                Senator Danq lost 2TB.

Repulsed, the allies retreated, some of them home, some of them to hell.

                  • En Passant

Nice and unexpected manoeuvre by the Triad of Evil. Their ring leader stays home, while the two lieutenants score a major victory.

Polly Siffan and Ken Banobi attack! Dr. Point

Polly Siffan: 20LT, 7TT, 4LC, 7FC, 4LF, OoB: TLL-FFT, back off, spread out, whoever's there, fight to the death
Ken Banobi: 5LD, 12LB, 32LF, 1FF, 1TF, OoB: TLL-FFT, back off, spread out, whoever's there, fight to the death
                    Allied total: 20LT, 7TT, 5LD, 12LB, 4LC, 7FC, 36LF, 1FF, 1TF, OoB: TLL-FFT, back off, spread out, whoever's there, fight to the death
                    Dr. Point: 12LD, OoB: MLL-TFT

Totally outgunned and outclassed Dr. Point is destroyed in the first three rounds of combat. He dealt no damage to the allies. According to Annexe II of the Tripartite Pact the captured five bases are divided three-two in favour of Reverend Ken Banobi.

That's all. Next update on Tuesday.

This galaxy is a desolate and sorry place. Evil reigns supreme and all decency is gone.

He sent a spy at you, so it wouldn't have made any difference. Only spying joncha or jaguar would have made a difference and then I don't think it would have been too much for you to handle.

On the other hand, if you had spied snoopy and attacked someone else, say joncha again, this time with your entire fleet, you would have scored the most. Also, if you had enlisted someone, or two people, say Hercules and GameCube to come to your aid by means of allied defence, the Eventian plot would have backfired big time.

Wonder if you will be able to ever ally happily with him again.

                            • I, for one, do not generally take the results of one game and hold them against those who attacked me. It's an attack based game, with one winner; I expect that anyone other than the one or two people I ally with to attack me, and even those people attack me eventually. I'd not hold Spaced's attacking me against him, any more than I suspect he holds me attacking him against me.

On the other hand, I also don't make extravagantly false claims that utterly ignore previous games ... like two games ago, where I ruined Jag's chances at winning, and then forced Jaguar to lead a small alliance against me to ruin MY chances of winning.

Or last game, where I hadn't even figured out who I'd ally with when I was destroyed early in the game.
