The Rump Senate has just passed a bill on reunification of the Galactic Rim, when the intelligence reports arrived to Senator Pollus' desk. Yes, the bill on reunification and the general dislike of the Empire on the Galactic Rim have pushed both factions operating there to attack preemptively and put an end on Imperial plans.

    *******

Reverend Banobi and General Ordin left the palace and were moving toward their command ships. From the hilltop palace one could see the entire panorama of Tatooine.

"Tatooine", started Reverend Banobi, "You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy."

"Why are you staying here then", Ordin asked. "I know you wish to help the people here find the true way of God, but I doubt you will succeed."

"After today's attack I will not return to Tatooine. I will stay there, at Coruscant"

"So will I. We will form a new governemnt, a government based on the Law of God and Order."

And so, both fleets departed for Coruscant, the seat of the Imperial Government and the Rump Senate.

    *******

But, when they came near, their sensors indicated presence of numerous ships which did not belong to the Empire. It appered that another overlord had set his sights on the capital planet. Yes, it was Dr. Point.

"What shall we do now? Perhaps we should contact Dr. Point and ask him to join our alliance", Ordin hesitated.

"We will wait and see what the outcome of that battle will be. But let us not position our fleet at too safe a distance, lest we might not be able to intervene if need be", Banobi seuggested.

The general acepted Banobi's suggestion and they positioned their fleet a mere 450 million kilometers away from the action.

But it wasn't much of an action. Danq's fleet was positioned in such a way as to lure Dr. Points ships toward a certain part of space. It seemed that Danq had opted for poor tactics and that his fleet would be destroyed. But at that moment a powerful blast lit the space. It was the energy discharged in the impact of Dr. Point's fleet with the energy shield constructed around Coruscant. Contrary to intelligence reports, the shield was fully operational. Dr. Point lost 27 hits points of damage or 3 laser battleships and was fortunate to save his neck in an escape pod as he was aboard one of those.

Dr. Point attacks! Senator Danq, but hits shield

The blast stunned General Ordin and Reverend Banobi, but also caused malfunction on a number of their ships. It appeared that Ordin's small frigates suffered the most damage and 14 of them were deemed irreparable, so the general ordered their destruction by his own fleet.

The allies realised that the energy shield raised around Coruscant was too powerful and that they must withdraw.

"It appears you are going back to Tatooine after..."

But General Ordin didn't have time to finish his sentence when disastrous news came back. His defenceless home bases were sneak-attacked and occupied by his nemesis Captain Imperium.

    Captain Imperium attacks! General Ordin

    no contest

"It appears you are going nowhere", Reverend Banobi replied maliciously.

Because of its efficiency, the shield around Coruscant was dubbed Vallum Danqi, or Danq's wall in Imperialish.

Next turn will be processed on Friday.

Learn to overcome the crass demands of flesh and bone, for they warp the matrix through which we perceive the world. Extend your awareness outward, beyond the self of body, to embrace the self of group and the self of humanity. The goals of the group and the greater race are transcendant, and to embrace them is to acheive enlightenment.

Shortly before his death, Emperor Basileus Naviwinat appointed his trusty police officer Min Grah to the position of Administrator in Precinct 229, which spans a region between the Dark Moon of Axis and the Galactic Rim. In his capacity of civil and military governor of the troublesome precinct which was better known for its tendency to be self-governed by armed bands of smugglers than for any rule of law, Min Grah frequently visited the neighbouring districts, including the monastery at the Dark Moon of Axis where he, at one occasion, had the opportunity to see, displayed in a showcase, the Sacred Scrolls written by legendary Master Agath Agath.

After a short conversation with the then abbot of the monastery, Master Agath Agathari, Min Grah got the grasp of the essence of the teaching contained in the Sacred Scrolls - the secret of the real ultimate power. Min Grah still remembers this set of simple rules, this doctrine which Master Agath Agathari taught him.

"Build only fighters and torpedoes. Take care to build fighters twice as much as you build torpedoes. Avoid lasers."

                          "Yes..."

"Of course, having no lasers, do not forget to back off."

                          "Yes..."

"Use M as much as possible. It's the winning formula."

"Master Agathari, what is that M?"

"Who knows? It's something my master put down in his scrolls. He explained the true meaning of M, but so far I have not been able to fully understand that part of the scrolls."

"Then, can I use the following OoB: TMTFMF, back off?"

                          "I don't see why not."

Note: But I see why not. That OoB is illegal. Since you set an illegal OoB, that's equal to having no OoB in the first place. You ordered an attack, and according to the rules now in power, that attack will not take place.

Min Grah sent orders to attack, but issued an illegal OoB

                          • General of a Dead Army

Or dead general. Make your pick.

                            General Ordin attacks! Colony I

General Ordin: 34LF, 34FF, OoB: MLL-FFT, close in, spread out, fight to the death
                            Colony I: 11LT, 7LD, 1LB, 16LC, 1FC, OoB: MLL-FFT close in, spread out

His situation was truly hopeless. At least he went out in a lazzorgeddon blast of such magnitude that it was mistaken for super nova by many astronomers.

General Ordin is eliminated. Colony I takes no casualties.

                            *******

Or rather, takes no casualties in this battle. For Colony I embarked on an assault mission itself.

                            Colony I attacks! Kit Chuss

Colony I: 5LC, OoB: MLLTTF, close in, spread out, fight to the death, fight whoever is there
                            Kit Chuss: 5FT, 9LD, 1FD, 1TD, 5LB, 4FB, 1FC, OoB: LFF-LTT, close in, spread out

Who would have thought that such a small fleet confronted with a relatively much larger one would deal so much damage?
