Skanky: what are you researching? I think Destroyers or Bombers would be to expensive at this stage, so I'm thinking of boosting my defensive capabilities.

I have ten fleets, and number 11 is hidiously expensive.

Shield and Weapon are at 6, armour at 7. I could perhaps give them a boost, or I could go for the Plasma Gun.

Frankly, I'm stuck. The expenses are getting too big.

Sadly, I didn't get anything about his fleet, must be that my techs not good enough. Here's the report:

I sent a probe out of curiosity. I doubt that it'll reveal anything more than your probe, but it's worth a shot, and I had a fleet slot free.

Edit: Blargh, nothing new.

If you want, I've got a few small cargos and 30,000 excess Deuterium sitting around; I can send about 10,000 Dt your way.

Noted. Once my current raiding parties come back, I should have AMPLE materials to build a colship and supply the new colony with stuff. I just need a suitable location. I've found one about 25 systems away in a slot 5; that's a good chance of being a large world.

Would it be better to place my colony in the same galaxy or in a different galaxy, and if in the same galaxy, how far away from my home system?
