While I hate to buck a trend, it appears that this killer is either a senator or a droid, given the weapon of choice.

We have little to go on, apart from the fact that the wound was to the shoulder. This would seem to suggest that the user was inaccurate, and thus we can likely ignore the droids. And if the user was inaccurate, it is likely someone who is not proficient in their use; thus, the killer is unlikely to be Padme Amidala.

Thus, I conclude that the killer is likely either Palpatine or Organa.

The Force tells me that Ljube is to blame.

Oh my. Excuse me, but I do believe that inaccurate small arms fire would indicate that a clone or battle droid was responsible for the killing, as they are quite unable to hit something unless they're 2 feet away, it's unmoving, and not a main character.

Unfortunately with the death of Grievous, and not knowing who most of these characters are, I will vote Sparrowhawk.

They were not, they were silvercoloured AND bolded. Which makes them hard to spot on some forum templates.

I use default. It's white on white with the silver bold.

I'm going to guess that Illuminatus uses the Civ3 style.
