Although its like chasing the monkey around the mulberry bush you can mod this game and I am playing the WCC coop mod whihc has inspired me for my own enjoyable mod

This game is sweet

If ya get a chance try the WCC coop mod for sp
it rewrites the maps and give a super size squad and also the enemy plays or rather dont play

in other news there is a map mod that makes the 16 player sp maps into a 64 player map for lots of extended fun

Here is a BF2 comedy movie I got from a buddy. It's made by some dudes from Sweden. There is no real storyline and parts of it are kinda lame, but I really like the part where the MEC commander meets the BBC reporter WARNING: 150 MB to download and unzip before you can watch!

havent tried but with PSP it does about any file extension conversion..

couldnt you simply save the game movie itself?

you can use a prog called FRAPS...

you run it prior to running BF2 or many other games... it runs in the background and you set a hotkey to start recording... it will record into an uncompressed AVI... you then use another program like VirtualDub to edit and compress the video to smaller sizes...

Also, Sony Vegas is a good prog for editing video, but it is not free... IIRC, FRAPS is either free or has some sort of evaluation period or something... I'm not sure...

google FRAPS and VirtualDub...

I use it to make Counter-Strike movies...

it works great

I can post some examples on putfile if you want

also, if you need some tutorials I could help you... the programs are easy to use... I found out how to make these movies from a site called csflicks.org...

just be careful with it Ted, don't record for long periods of time... because it records in uncompressed formats, the file sizes are HUGE!!!

so make sure you have lots of disk space

Thanks for the warning on disk space, I'll keep that in mind. I wonder if writing that file seriously impacts game performance?

Also, I'll be careful to censor my videos, because I know alot of people out there are going to be HUMILIATED after I PWN them all over the map, so I want to keep their embarassment to a minimum.

One final thing is that the patch is going to be released in the next couple of days, and has alot of cool fixes we've been waiting for!

writing the file doesn't, as it pertains to hard disk usage...

but the program limits your framespersecond to 30 fps (because thats what the movie fps is)... so you will notice negative performance impact... but if you are l337 like me, it won't affect you too much

it's about time... I haven't played this game in over a month... I got fed up with not getting points for blowing up artillery, so I am boycotting it until the patch comes out. I have been playing Day of Defeat Source.

actually, I remembered, you can set what the program limits your framesperseconds... I think the options are 15-30-50-60 and custom... the problem is, the size of the uncompressed AVI is directly related to the rate of FPS you select... so if you have 60 FPS, the AVI you create will be twice as big as if you have 30 FPS...

30 FPS is what you should be recording at.
