The most difficult part of this battle was Ljube and I planning out a battle which would entertain you all, after all everyone complained that the battles were too short and all

This time there were no planes to shoot, so the crews went straight for the torpedos and the lasers.

Down to a single damaged ship, Danq's squadron took to air for a final fight. There was some strafing done as the planes tried to keep Cosmos' maneuvered torpedoes from getting a free shot.

Next comes Sparrow's free shot, but then ljube's torpedos come back in.

Not positive, but I think the next three four rounds could result in the mutual destruction of both of our fleets

Yes. You're definitely going down, but he might go down with you. He basically gets a free shot with Torpedos and then a shot with Torpedos on your lasers.

I messed up the graphics a bit on turn 10, this one has been verified to be correct for turn #12.

How come he loses Lasers in round 12? With his Fighters gone doesn't it revert to the start of his OoB (or should I say your orders of battle ) therefore Torpedos?

Um, I guess I messed up the turn 12 graphics also... Ignore them. 13 ought to be fine, really.

I can't answer that directly, but the spreadsheet that Smiley and I both use (i think he uses anyway) has predicted every stage to this point, and it predicts as you say, some slight loss of torpedoes as a result of the last battle..

Don't worry the spreadsheet is accurate, it's just errors get made when I'm reading it.

Round 14... Cosmos' fleet is finally turned into dust but the battle's not over.

You've had the damage numbers right each time, anyway, so I'd assume you have everything else right. It *is* getting late, and a quite long battle after all, so i'd forgive you anything

Yeah, I realize as i'm doing this that it's not very clear what is getting damaged each time. Next time perhaps i'll try to make it show the damaged ships directly rather than round-to-round... sort of hard, though certainly not impossible.

Cosmos' final blow wiped out Danq's few surviving lasers. The Battle for Coruscant was finally over, as was 60% of the Fleet of the Republic.
