I've got 17 provinces already playing the Romans (but I had a warning that the Seleucids have almost completed their objective!! That's pretty early in the game.
I do have to say that the AI has trouble recruiting troops with the new recruiting system.. All in all though I like it a lot. It's easier to expand because the AI can't spam troops like it does in the vanilla game, but at the same time it's harder if you want to expand outside your homeland because you have the same restrictions.

The load/save bug? Yes it's fixed. There are some new ones of course but they seem relatively minor for now.We need seperate human-only games for MP/PBEM that dont include the over-simplifications required to have a good AI

The biggest change (gameplay-wise) seems to be the hordes and the randomness of the AIs strategic decicions with them.We need seperate human-only games for MP/PBEM that dont include the over-simplifications required to have a good AI

They promised to release a patch for the original Rome:total War last week but didn't come through. Hopefully they will release it soon though."Comment

After over a year the game might be what I thought I bought...
So far, the new patch is very cool.
