      • Looks to me like 1.5 million that one.

I wonder how long you can keep it up. Like, will you die at sea eventually, or can you keep sailing till you are virtually any age. I'd think the latter... It'd be interesting to see someone at 200 years old... Though I imagine at that point it'd be pretty hard to keep the crew happy.

His fleet's probably not too exciting simply due to the 8-ship cap. Now, if he had kept all the ships he captured...

            • What I was wondering really was 'what ship(s) is/are he using to transport all that cargo?'

The 1.5 million in the Top 10 List represents only gold that was plundered (i.e. Ships captured or towns sacked) not ships or commodities sold.

You can't die, so you can sail till you're any age; provided you can keep your crew happy and can keep winning swordfights.

Okay, here they are. (1 of 2)
And by the way, I do hate the 8 ship cap rule.

                • Fleet Pics con't

In addition to my flagship, I like to keep 2 other powerfull warships.
I'll max out my fleet, get as many upgrades as I can from nearby ports, sell cargo at top price, sell off extra ships, and repeat process.

                    • Don't those West Inidamen slow you down some?

What happens when you take a ship now, you just have the option to sink it, or do you also have the option to keep it and ditch one of your existing ships?

                      • If he has no space for more ships, he will have to sink new ones.

                          Some??? - Try stop you...
I learned to have in my fleet as falgship my ship of the line and as cargo ships one or two large frigates or frigates (with salis-uppgrade) just so that my fleet would be movable...

Else you just sat waiting for your other ships to catch you - booring.

                          • I take a different line. Why bother with cargo ships? Just capture them. *shrug*

West indiamen aren't as bad as trade/treasure galleons.

No, not really. I usually capture them close to a port (these two, one English & one Dutch--pictured above--were back-to-back; very unusual to see 2 different ones sailing next to each other), and then get the Cotton Sail upgrade.

No you don't get that option. You get a message saying "Your Fleet is full." You can only take the cargo if you have the space for it.
