  • They would've taken a lot less damage though.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

        • Because you are doing it, and you are teh cheater.

Actually, having a space to plan out and coordinate actions with trusted allies is just good strategy.

                      • It is still conceivable that DrSpike and I annilate each other... actually I would be amused if DrSpike, myself, and Sparrow destroyed each other leaving only Spaced on the battlefield, answering Ljube's question near the start of the game.

I'm enforcing a 48-hours turn rule from now on. There are lots of people who are eager to join the next game (including your GM )

                              • Round 12 - Dominion strikes

Chairman Sparrowhawk has taken Theben’s betrayal personally, because of his unconditional trust in the Kazon. But it was folly. He should have known that treachery is Kazon second nature.

Seething with anger, Sparrowhawk devised a plan of attack. The aim was to quickly punish the Kazon for their treachery and satisfy his lust for revenge. He lacked sufficient forces to carry out his ambitious plans however. The Trabe were weak and the Kazon were strong. So Sparrowhawk invited the Pralor AU leader SC to convince him to support the risky enterprise.

When SC arrived, Sparrowhawk quickly explained the details of his plan. SC immediately saw several major flaws in Sparrowhawk’s plan and rejected it promptly. He also noticed Sparrowhawk was emotionally unbalanced, so he tried to calm him. Eventually he succeeded and the attack was postponed for later date. A sound decision after all, not an irrational one governed by hate.

                                *******

Another sound decision was made by founder DrSpike. He saw a chance to establish order and attacked Kazon Pommar with nearly all the Dominion had.

                                Battle No.1: DrSpike attacks Theben
                                DrSpike: 11LT, 16FT, 8TT, 4FD, 11TD, 5FB, 2TB, OoB: FLT-TFL, back off, normal
                                Theben: 3LT, 4FT, 5TT, 3FD, 25LB, 11FB, 14TB, 1LC, 1FC, OoB: LLT-TFF, close in, normal

                                111F – 184L – DrSpike takes 73 hits
                                55L – 92L – DrSpike takes 37 hits
                                90T – 67T – Theben takes 23 hits

DrSpike loses all carrier battleships and dreadnaughts and four carrier titans. His fifth carrier titan is damaged. Theben loses his laser cruiser and 3 laser battleships and another one is damaged. The battle goes on.

                                90T – 67T – Theben takes 23 hits
                                60F – 67F – DrSpike takes 7 hits
                                110L – 67F – Theben takes 43 hits

DrSpike loses a fifth carrier titan and suffers damage to another one. Theben suffers total losses of 1 laser cruiser and 14 laser battleships and his fifteenth laser battleship is nearly destroyed. The Dominion suffered greater losses and is forced to withdraw. But these are losses the Dominion can afford. Given that all Dominion soldiers are cloned Jem’Hadar and Vorta, they are easily replaced.
