      • I'm thinking that anything Ljube finds interesting in this game is really bad for someone...

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

        • But also interesting for the rest of us.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

          • You know you need to get a life when........

......you repeatedly check Apolyton at work to see if Ljube has updated the GO Game yet, each time with a sense of nervous anticipation at the outcome.

......you rush home for lunch to check to see if Ljube has updated the GO Game yet and are actually disappointed to see it has not yet been updated.

              • Care to share your orders with the rest of us (then we wouldn't need to wait for Ljube )?

                • I discovered a fleet of rogue Jem'Hadar, and convinced them to rejoin the cause. All 3 of you were wiped out, and I am overlord.

                  Shall I start the signups?

                  • Maybe we could hold off on the sign ups

                    ......for now

                        • Turn 11 - Shape-shifter

The solids of the delta quadrant have become weary of the Dominion policies towards them. They fear DrSpike has only one agenda – to enslave them all. And they were right. For the founders believe the only way order can be achieved is by subjugating all solid people.

To prevent that outcome, the solid nations resorted to diplomacy, an exercise they don’t usually practice. Ambassadors were sent to conduct negotiations between the main powers to try and secure alliances for the final showdown. Their diplomatic skills are a bit rusty and their suspicion of each other too great so no wonder they failed to form any alliances this time. In spite of that the delta solids thought the time was right to confront the Dominion with all they have got.

Chairman Sparrowhawk has assembled a grand fleet, capable of defeating any opponent. When he arrived near the Dominion border, his sensors registered an automated message buoy bearing Kazon signature. It was the message from the Kazon Pommar fleet commander. It read:

"This is the Grand Admiral of the Unified Kazon Galactic Armada of his Greatness, Theben of the Kazon Pommar. We are currently facing difficulties with regard to what we suspect are Dominion saboteurs in our communications network. As such the fleet has not gathered in time and we are currently about 33 hours behind schedule. Please wait for our forces to rendezvous with yours."

Chairman Sparrowhawk wanted to wait for the Kazon, but his second in command Vice chairman Doc convinced him to push on without them. He reminded the chairman that the Kazon were Trabe mortal enemies and that they were not to be trusted. He also suggested the Kazon would actually be a liability and that it was a blessing they didn’t show. He also reminded Sparrowhawk of the immense power of the Trabe fleet, particularly now when it is strengthened by the captured Federation technology.

So Sparrowhawk pushed on, but when he arrived near Dominion bases his second in command Doc showed his real face. YES! Doc was founder DrSpike who used his shape-shifting ability to appear as Vice chairman of the Trabe. Before Sparrowhawk’s guards could capture him, DrSpike used his portable teleport to beam himself away to safety. Having been acquainted with all details of the Trabe tactics, he managed to inflict a crushing defeat on his foes.

                          Sparrowhawk: 15LT, 13FT, 15TT, 3LD, 3FD, 2TD, 1LB, 4FB, 2TB, 3FC, OoB: FTL-FTL, normal, normal
                          DrSpike: 12LT, 8FT, 8TT, 3FD, 11TD, 5FB, 2TB, OoB: LFT-LFT, normal, normal

                          95F – 120L – Sparrowhawk takes 25 hits
                          89T – 134F – Sparrowhawk takes 45 hits
                          90L – 180T – Sparrowhawk takes 90 hits

Sparrowhawk loses 3 carrier cruisers, 4 carrier battleships, 3 carrier dreadnaughts and 10 carrier titans. The battle continues.

                          15F – 120L – Sparrowhawk takes 105 hits
                          89T – 134F – Sparrowhawk takes 45 hits
                          90L – 180T – Sparrowhawk takes 90 hits

Sparrowhawk loses big time and he must retreat. His total losses are all of his carrier and torpedo ships and in addition his laser battleship, his 3 laser dreadnaughts and one of his laser titans is damaged. A fitting end for someone who wanted to wage war on the Dominion and neglected to use the Federation anti-founder screening devices.

                          *******

About ten hours later came the Pralor AUs and they picked up the same buoy signal. SC was inclined to wait for the Kazon, but the designated second in command unit DR suggested they proceed because the Trabe had probably already engaged the Dominion and this was the Pralor big chance of doing away with both of them and possibly capturing some of that advanced Federation technology they desperately needed in order to be able to make working AU prototypes.

Just as they reached the Dominion bases, DR showed his true shape – he was actually founder DrSpike and used his portable teleport to escape. SC tried to run away, but his slow propulsion systems were no match for the superior Dominion fleet.

Battle No.2: Spaced Cowboy attacks DrSpike
                          Spaced Cowboy: 2FD, 15LF, 15FF, 15TF, OoB: FTL-FTL, normal, normal

The superior Jam’Hadar legions quickly destroy Pralor ships and only a handful of them escape including their designated command unit SC.

                            • I'm really wishing now that we used my proposal of FFL-LTT.

Thankfully you two voted against FTTD!

                              • Just so I understand what just happened.....DrSpike sent a spy to Theben?

And somehow Spaced and I didn't attack as an alliance?

And DrSpike matched our OoB perfectly?
