Nothing beats a paper and pencil RPG session, though.
The actual session? No. Usually people are too busy beating up the players to bother trying to fight an abstract noun. Plus furries tend to be a more obvious target these days.
and there are jackass LARP groups that actually hit people with swords, etc. or have people in them who don't really understand the difference between acting and reality.
Die you damn orc !!!!! *continues to bash kids head off the floor*
Learn to overcome the crass demands of flesh and bone, for they warp the matrix through which we perceive the world. Extend your awareness outward, beyond the self of body, to embrace the self of group and the self of humanity. The goals of the group and the greater race are transcendant, and to embrace them is to acheive enlightenment.
I pay for things at the shop with a d2.
Can also be used to decide World Cup groups.
Surely a d3 is just d6 divided by two and rounded up where appropriate.
d4 is the smallest physical die you can have.
I dunno. In our group of 50, there was only one person who made me even slightly uncomfortable. Now, that could be because I was with the Mages and Werewolves... The Vampire players are honestly known for being a bit different shall we say. And of course, this strange person was a Vampire player. Nice enough fellow, but extremely odd.
Roleplaying games in general tend to attract more social geeks. Now, they may be strange, but they honestly have to think and to talk and to discuss things- that means that they have to be at least possessed of some social skills (unlike l33t haxx0rz in Counterstrike or some who play online RPGs- something I will never do.)
Re: the Fireball Fireball comment... Yes, that's a very amusing video.

You can find your local GamesWorkshop shop at that link(click the flag closest to you at the bottom).
A few months ago i caught up with some old school friends that i used to roleplay with. They are still doing DnD(I prefered our Traveller sessions) even though they are now bankmanagers, have mortgages etc.
It was surreal. A whole saturday rolling D6,D8,D4,D10(you get the picture!) - around 8hrs later we had cleared part of a dungeon level in the campaign they'd been at for the last six-months.
Beers, fizzy drink, crisps and biscuits were the order of the day - Beers being the only different food stuffs from those days of yore. Somehow it wasn't so much the DnD that made the day, but rather hanging out with a bunch of guys all doing the same thing - i guess its better than loitering on street corners looking for a passer by to mug? kids are nasty these days
So to the OP, Space05us - see if you have a GamesWorkshop in your area, it might be your best chance of finding like-minded people to play with, afterall that is what pnp rpg's are really about.

I've never been a big fan of the d20 system. Almost every time I've played it, the game degenerated into something akin to a statistics debate. Just too many numbers to crunch.
I've never had much opportunity to play in the White Wolf system, but it looks like it's a very good system in terms of simplicity and flexibility. I also liked the old Shadowrun systems (1st and maybe 2nd ed). They could also get pretty number-heavy if the gamemaster allowed it, but I always liked the Skill Web.
Well if you assume that you could roll a pencil and use it as a d6, then you could theoretically have a triangular prism as a d3 and roll that, but it wouldn't roll that well.

What if the ends where rounded off so that it could be thrown and would have to settle on one of the three sides?
