    Actually have DC's orders, he was able to access a pc.

    Still missing orders from Sparrowhawk, Jonny, and Vlad Antlerkov.

    Hopefully, these will be in by tonight and I'll process tomorrow.

          dang- that's a lot of trade income in that case then.

          don't worry about the math too much spaced- I'm working on getting a program to auto-calculate this stuff all I'll have to enter is people's info and then it'll calculate... in essence we'll have created a new computer game!

          also still wondering- I thought that gifting gold was illegal?

              • Hmm, strange it wasn't defined as a yes or a no. It's city-gifting that causes gamebreaking problems anyway, and gold-gifts are among the most realistic sort of foreign aid anyway.

                    • I think that gifting gold seems logical, especially as in the sequence Foreign Aid is near the end and the gold wouldn't be of use until the following turn anyway.

                      I do see Foreign Aid in general as being a potential problem however, as it has a potential for ?abuse? (or is it abuse to take advantage of it or a realistic and positive aspect of the game of Society??).

                      Spaced has commented (correctly in my opinion) that the co-operation in this game is refreshing. Smiley has commented that his goal in creating this game was to have a game where people had to work together towards a common goal.

                      It seems that Foreign Aid (and trade) are both geared towards Alliances and Assistance, but is there the potential to exploit this to the point of ruining a game?

                        My apologies on the chart from last turn. It has Sparrowhawk at tech 11 when he was only at tech 9. Only Jonny was affected (orders wise), so he ended up building less armies than expected.

                        Whoha sends three spies to sabotage Sparrowhawk's army recruitment.
                        Jonny's spy interupts Vlad Antlerkov's army recruitment.
                        Sparrowhawk's spy defends his army production.
                        Dark Cloud's spy sabotages Sparrowhawk's army recruitment.

                        According to the new rule, one of Whoha's spies is captured by Sparrowhawk's spy, but the other gets through and blows up his newly recruited army.

                        Gifts
                        Whoha gives Dark Cloud 100 armies.
                        Jonny shows Sparrowhawk the ways of Mass Education (tech 10), Nuclear Fission (tech 11), and Miniaturization (tech 12).

                        Battles

                        Sparrowhawk sends a meager army 92 (tech 12) to continue his attack on Whoha 200 (tech 11) defenders.
                        Sparrowhawk loses 18 armies and Whoha loses none.

                        Jonny's army 150 (tech 13) turns its attention to his other neighbor Vlad Antlerkov 126 (tech 10) armies. His sneak attack takes the adjacent cities in F9, F10, E10, and G11.

                            • Sparrowhawk sent me a PM regarding how I am handling the spy attacks on something that costs gold.

                              If it is trade, the gold is gone (both parties), if it is something that you bought (armies, SS parts, tech, cities, etc.) the gold will be gone and the progress/items will be too.

                              This is how I am handling it this game, but it needs to be clairified for future games.

                              • And as I said to Spaced, I did the opposite last game, leaving the sabotaged money in the treasury but last games success rate of spies was........ very low, maybe even zero (I don't remember exactly) so it wasn't something I had to deal with often.

                                I agree with Spaced however, we should clarify for next game, though as long as the same for everyone it doesn't matter much to me either way .
