you guys still playing this game or what?

I just want to make sure it has some kind of longevity before I buy it.

Technically, I've never "had" the original game, but it never captured my interest enough to bothering getting it. It just isn't that interesting to me. And at $49.99, I won't be considering The Sims 2 either for a good long while.

Besides, I've got Locomotion, Superpower 2 (crosses fingers and hopes it's a worthy game), and a couple of others to keep my gaming needs saited.

After my school obligations, of course...

Not now, but I'll get back to it...

It's like the first game... you play it for a few weeks, then you let it rest for a few weeks or more, then you get back to it again...
This space is empty... or is it?

So it can't hold your attention for long? Another ringing endorsement.

I may buy it when it comes on the bargain bins then. I'm kind of interested, but not that much. So no sense paying full price for it.

That kinda fit with 99% of games released... I played Doom 3 for two weeks before I got bored with that. I played Warcraft 3 for two weeks, then I got bored with that. I could go on... Only few games are not boring after two weeks...

But the point is now how fast you get bored with a certain game, but have many entertainment hours you get; As mentioned Doom 3 and Warcrap 3 has very few hours of entertainment, while Sims 2 will have a much higher number because I know I'll return to it...

I'd play it but there *are* better games (Evil Genius, R: TW) around

Maybe the problem is not with the games but with the gamer?

                      • I saw The Sims (original) at the EBGames store today: $9.99

                        Still didn't buy it...

                        • Sounds fair. I'm sure you have better things to do with your money.

Yes, there is no sense in paying full price. I regret I did. It's a lot more fun than the 1st Sims, and I'll probably play it off and on for a good long while, but it doesn't hold my attention long enough to justify what I paid.

                            • Sadly that's the case for me with most games. Good thing my mom is the hardcore gamer that buys all the games.
