By Vertical I just meant that the screen was orientated with a portrait rather than landscape aspect ratio on the arcade machine. Sorry for the confusion.
So was Commando for the C64 good? I always was under the impression it was but then I looked on the net and apparently some consider it a poor conversion. I've certainly never heard of anyone raving about it on any other platform...Världsstad - Dom lokala genrenas vän

The C64 version was good enough for me and indeed, the music was excellent. Mid 80's game 8-bit, C64 and Amstrad at least .
While there isn't any violence in this game
It was the surroundings that made its fame...
For it the gaming public it was a bit of a bore
