Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.
By Vertical I just meant that the screen was orientated with a portrait rather than landscape aspect ratio on the arcade machine. Sorry for the confusion.
So was Commando for the C64 good? I always was under the impression it was but then I looked on the net and apparently some consider it a poor conversion. I've certainly never heard of anyone raving about it on any other platform...
The C64 version was good enough for me and indeed, the music was excellent. The music for the arcade machine lost some if its lustre once you hear it on the C64.

Hooray! I've won another cup That means another rhyme is up.
Mid 80's game 8-bit, C64 and Amstrad at least .
While there isn't any violence in this game
It was the surroundings that made its fame...
For it the gaming public it was a bit of a bore
Because the main goal was to explore...

The only worry in this game is time
there a lot of hills and narrow bridges to climb...
But if your skill is up to it
Scattered diamonds will help you play forthwith!...

I have no idea from the clues so far, but have a sneaky feeling that I will know this one, and will be annoyed when someone else gets it and posts a link or pictures.
Everytime I look at this thread I think I know the game, but can't remember the name, the game always ends up being something different. This time I remember the game, but can't remember if there were any diamonds.

The time is ticking, no time for a nap
For I need to complete that map!...
I repeat my goal, this world has to be measured
Only until i reach somewhere near 400 it can finally be treasured....
Fire away

Nope, I hear answers but not the right ones. We seem to be 'moving' towards some conclusion however. Try to solve the riddle and find a few more clues if you can.
