I've spent the summer playing through a series of classic SNES RPGs – Sword of Mana, Final Fantasy III/VI, Chrono Trigger, the game that's currently being guessed in Name that Game, and finally Seiken Densetsu 3. Of these I only finished Chrono Trigger – in all the others I reached points where I'd have had to spend an hour or more levelling up against weaker enemies before I could tackle the next section, a task which I consider a failing of game design and which bores me immensely.

Since I'm scrapping my computer in a couple of days' time, I'm currently finishing off some lighter fare in the form of B-level FOA-clone Flight of the Amazon Queen which is providing a pleasant diversion.

Sadly thats how i beat few of the bosses in my earlier pathetic days in D2... but it works...
Yes, the latest patch (1.10). It does feel a little bit more difficult... but that's not it. I have always sucked with Duriel - I hate the lack of manoeuvring space in that cell. Most likely, I haven't invested into the right skill - having just 1 point in Holy Shield ATM, I think... thanks for the tip! Will try it next time (that will be on the Hell level, if I ever get there).

At the moment I am also playing Freecell. I have a (so far unbroken) string of 21 35 consecutive wins. W00t for me.

          [edit] Skuciniwalcher sucks.

GSC's series of Cossacks and their various versions, EW, AOW and BTW, American Conquest. A full scale RTS I'm addicted to.

I don't like most wargames (don't like gore very much unlike some of you) unless they're tactical, glorious and reminds me of Sun Tzu and Chinese style intrigue. Hence why I like GSC's series and Cossacks.

I have ut2k4 but I dislike it. BF1942, I like that slightly more.

I have some other simulation games, Simcity, flight sims, the lot, but I play those less often as well.

              Oh yes.

              CHESS

              WEIQI (also known as Go)

              Glorious board games!
Arise ye starvelings from your slumbers; arise ye prisoners of want
The reason for revolt now thunders; and at last ends the age of "can't"
Away with all your superstitions -servile masses, arise, arise!
We'll change forthwith the old conditions And spurn the dust to win the prize

WC 3: the Frozen Throne. I'm on the last mission for the Night Elves and I've been playing it for a while but it was placed on hold when I moved to my new place a month ago.

Am thinking of going back to it sometimes soon

3 is more of the same, but 4 was not that well received by HoMM fans.

Civ3 and Smac. Along with Neverwinter Nights. I still play Diablo 2 occassionally. I have Fallout 1 and 2 and tactics on my hard drive, but I don't play them often. I also play KOTOR occasionally. And baldur's gate 1 and 2 occasionally.

aramis makes sure no one is looking, then sneaks back into the thread and shouts,

Many years ago I never finished either Riven nor Myst: Exile, and now I am!

aramis sneaks back out before anyone realises he was there, thus avoiding embarrassment
