  • I have never, in any previous mafia game started a docpile.

All of the sudden I've started 2 in 2 rounds?

    ACK!
Don't try to confuse the issue with half-truths and gorilla dust!

    • Malcom tallied the votes, and it turned out that Lex was the one most thought was guilty. He calmly picked her up and tossed her into the road, then ran her over with the jeep. Dr. Satler was horrified, but Ian simply said "can you think of an easier way to kill her?" Grant nodded happily; it was better than he'd ever hoped - BOTH kids were gone! It'd be much easier to study the dinosaurs now.

      ...

"Don't make any more of them. None! They're vicious, cunning, deadly. I'd prefer we kill the whole lot of them," vehemently exclaimed Muldoon. "Wu, those things are more dangerous than a T-Rex."

"I'm sorry, it's out of my hands. Hammond wanted more made. I have to do what he says," said Dr. Wu sadly.

      ...

They continued the tour that day - Grant and Dr. Satler were both pleased to see the T-Rex and the stegasauri - and it was much quieter. Ed Regis was relieved; he didn't have to watch the damn kids anymore. He wasn't a babysitter. Gennaro was wishing for a link to the mainland - Ross would love this, three deaths already!

When they came by a stegasaurus, it was lying on its side, breathing heavily. Dr. Harding came up and said, "these things are always getting sick. We have a difficult time with the stegos."

Dr. Satler began examining it. First the tongue; she shone a light on it, and there were silvery blisters. "Microvesicles," she said. "Interesting. What are the symptoms you usually see?"

"Imbalance, disorientation, labored breathing, and massive diarrhea," Harding said. "Seems to happen about once every six weeks or so."

      "They feed continuously?"

"Oh yes," Harding said. "An animal this size has to take in a minimum of five hundred pounds of plant a day matter just to keep going. They're constant foragers."

"Then it's not likely to be poisoning from a plant," Dr. Satler said slowly. She looked at the eyes. "You have pupillary effects from the tranquilizer?" she asked.

"Yes, there's a miotic effect, pupils are constricted," replied Dr. Harding.

"But these pupils are dilated," she said. "That's not a pharmacological effect. What's the animal's range?"

"About five square miles, mostly north and east of here, but when the get sick, they're usually somewhere around this particular area."

An interesting puzzle, thought Dr. Satler. Hmmm... "you see those low, delicate-looking bushes? West Indian lilac."

"We know it's toxic, but the animals don't eat it." Melia azendarach, called West Indian lilac, contained a number of toxic alkaloids.

"Interesting, because otherwise I would have said that this animal shows all the classic signs of Melia toxicity. " A puzzle. Dr. Satler stared at the ground near the bushes. It was rocky, mostly, with berries among the rocks. But the berries were bitter; the animals wouldn't eat them. But wait. All the rocks were smooth, and in piles. She had a glimmer of an idea...

"They're piles of gizzard stones! The animals swallow the gizzard stones. They have to swallow new stones every few weeks, because the old ones are worn smooth - and they swallow the berries with them. And get sick."

"I'll be damned," said Dr. Harding.

      ...

They would have finished the tour, but the jeeps broke down - luckily right where the fence repair needed to be done. The skanky construction worker got on it right away.

      ...

The next morning, they found Dr. Wu dead in his bed. "There's no obvious sign of what killed him, so we'll have to wait for Dr. Harding to get back to identify the cause of death," said Muldoon.

"How could someone break through the door locks? Those things are strong - we upgraded them, remember, after the first time the raptors escaped?" asked Hammond.

"Uh, well, actually... the door locks don't come on automatically at night. That's one of the bugs you wanted me to fix. I, uh, hadn't gotten to it yet," said Nedry nervously.

"Ah! That's it!" exclaimed Arnold. "That's why the lights were off the night before last - one of the computer bugs was they only come on every other night. That's why the killer didn't strike again among the tour group - unless Lex really was the killer."

"Just like before, we must vote," said Malcom over the radio. "Consider your choices carefully - we're running out of time."

      • Now look everyone, it isn't Nedry's fault that there are computer errors such as this, in a system as large as this one, thrown together as hastily as this one was theres bound to be many errors in the system. Also killing him off will mean we have that much less expertise to deal with what will happen when the dinosaurs escape and start killing off generic characters.

          didn't last long as a non-generic, did I?

Actually, I've not figured out yet how to have a dinosaur as a murder weapon

                  • Ljube is my vote. Entirely too many accidents around here for my liking. Being the computer technician is a perfect cover up for his nefarious deeds.
Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.
