Can't you only get a fighter when you roll all 7s? (As well as the jackpot on fruit machines ) The BG system of choosing the class and then rolling guarantees a minimum score in certain things.
Well I visited the Hall of Wonders last night and picked up an attractive telescope thingy. The guards turned up, I hid in shadows and legged it. Easy.
When I did that hall of wonders thing, I walked in either in the middle of night or day and just picked the thing up... nothing happened- no guards, etc.

I never have an all 7-roll. My rolls are usually the same more or less; I don't see the point in rolling 50 times anyway It's like the reloading-cheat when levelling up!

Actually I used to do it all the time in BG1
But since it doesn't matter that much anymore in BG2 + the fact that I'm simply too lazy I quit cheating

Having completed the quest for the boss of the thieves guild at the weekend, can anyone recommend some cool quests that really shouldn't be missed? I need to get Imoen up to a fairly decent level before I take on Scar's quests or she won't be any use as a wizard. All recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I could just go out and fight some monsters (in fact, I haven't been into the sewers yet, so I can fight in BG itself ), but would prefer to do quests that will get me the exp.
Tell me which quests to do, and from whom I can get them please. You don't have to say which building the NPCs are in, but the area of town would be useful.
I think you mentioned you did the telescope quest in the hall of wonders, right? That gives good experience.
The sewers kind of ties in with the first part of scar's quests. So you can wait to do those.
There's a quest on the west side of town (maybe north-west). I think some guy is poisoned or something. You have to find a cure for him. I think that has decent experience. I think a child motions for you to follow him inside a house. Do so.
One guy wants you to find a body from the sewers. Also the guy in the Sorcerer sundries has a quest. And a women in the NE section standing in the in between some inns.
And don't forget the quest where the guy is poisoned in the middle central section. Supposedly you are poisoned as well. But when I got the cure, I drank it, and nothin happened. So that might have been bugged for me. But you can still get some decent experience.
A few quests in the southeast and south. Like killing some basilisks in a warehouse.
Thank you. Hopefully I shall be able to get a few quests in this weekend. I wish that I'd switched Imoen earlier now though. She's not that hot as a low-level wizard.
Coran is better with something like the Eagle Bow and Guantlets of Ogre Power.
