      • Its fine, we always argue. But someone telling me to be more flexible with regards to this game is like Barley genuinely telling Toni to speed up.

                  By the way I took down the mod to add the new science costs and fix the annoying tiny islands one last time.

                  • increased science cost by era:
                    ancient x4
                    ren. x8
                    modern x12
                    genetic x14
                    diamond x14
                  • x1.75 giga map (increased continent amount and maximum size proportionally to prevent tiny isles)
                  • no ruins
                  • no graphs (including one in load/save screen)
                  • all tech choices
                  • starting 3 techs - religeon, agriculture, toolmaking.
                  • fortifying a unit gives +100% defence (was +50%)

                  • after the above changes are made, all terraforming and tile imp cost +50% (except those in bold which are correct current costs)
                  I played through the game with the science costs at x4, 8, 12, 16, 20 for each age and I couldnt even get to Fusion Tanks before 2300AD, but upto and including modern age was averaging 10-20 turns, so the 2 end ages are lower to fit in better when a) you only get 15 more cities b) you dont get any better commerce improvements at that stage and c) growth is slower.

                  • By teh way if we finish the game soon and dont use the full mod next time, I think we should at least use the new map.txt to prevent the tiny islands. Ive attached it just in case we do next game.

                          • Mr flexible here (not), really sorry but cant play tomorrow (Thursday) as I have to go out (nothing I can put off im afraid).

                            I can still play Friday and Sunday, and possibly Saturday to, guess this means it will be 11.30pm on Friday when we play next.

                            Really sorry to let you down at the last minute.
