In PBEM games, if you call an election for governor it is the practice to notify all other players in the turn tracking thread, INCLUDING listing the numbers of votes each player may cast and also indicating for whom you have voted. This avoids any player getting any advantage from the order of players.

This practice is unversal in my PBEM experience but since we have some newer players I just wanted to ensure everyone knew about it.

i wouldnt call for a gov until i had met everyone tbh and since i have no chance bieng quite small compared to you all (ty mr mindworms killing 2 colonys)

No problem -- but its relevent to you since once the election is called you are free to contact anyone immediately-- So if you saw the election called you could email both candidates to see if they would offer you anything for your votes for instance

Basically the idea is that once the election is called, everyone should be on the same footing

From my point of view-- take whatever time you need-- Real life is more important anyway and to date you have been consistently one of the fastest players
