2 crawlers feed 4 forest workers each netting 2 minerals and 2 energy when you are in market. better than crawling minerals or energy from forest

Depending on empire needs this can be better than librarians i believe. Although at some point even more production does not help

I agree that it often is the case that you can work something that is better than having a specialist-- But then you have to bring drone control into consideration- But worst case is you can always have a specialist

@drow: I haven't played anno1701 yet, i'm not sure any of my computers would be able to run it. I don't enjoy the genre that much anymore anyways i think.

Apologies again - I've mountains of study to do, and deadlines creeping up on me...

I'll play the turn as soon as I've got time to breathe (and think!) - hopefully in the next couple of days.

I'll also be unable to do anything this coming weekend, as I've got to go to see distant family (the only chance left this year, and another reason the study's so pressing!).

My Friends

It is with great honour that I accept the role of governor in this, the First Planetary Council. I have been please by our eighty years of peaceful co-existence and hope with the co-operation of all partiies that this Planet may remain free and peaceful.

I know that we all face challenges but through co-operation and goodwill, I hope that all issues may be resolved collaboratively.

I am acutely aware however that the post of Planetary Governor is largely a ceremonial one. All factions remain supreme and sovereign within their own boundaries. I have no intention of changing that and hope to see Planetary Council evolve as a discussion forum for equals.

However there are areas where Global co-operation would seem to be a good idea. Our Gaian friends have raised concerns about pollution levels with global impacts. I believe the Morganites are in favour of a global trading system. Meanwhile the Peacekeepers provided a 1400 page report detailing 59 Planetary agencies that they propose. I look forward to Drone's proposals as well if we can get them to leave work long enough to attend our meetings. .. . .
