I'll tell you what happened. I hoped to play the turn just before leaving home, but the game crashed. I then turned the computer off and left (sorry, I was on a bit of a hurry). I came back a while ago, tried it again, and the same thing happened - twice. On the brighter side, I now have a piece of advice to you: don't ever "zoom and erase" a fungus expansion message. It seems that was what caused the game to crash.

btw isn't there something like a forum rule for no threads longer than 500 posts for some server performance reason? There was a recent note on the civ4 pbem forums about that.
