The world of Alienwater was rocked today by a nuclear blast in the northern regions.

For a brief moment an invading sporelauncher and friend looked up into the sky to admire a wonderful mushroom display in the heavens and then was overwhelmed.

Prepared statement by the Drone Ministry of defence

We are disturbed to report that it appears the Cult has seen fit to use a nuclear device against citizens of their own faith. Reports from the area are sketchy but it is beleieved that the device would be used against a city bearing the name Disciples1-2 which had been recently conquered by the Drones.

To the people remaining under the tyrranical rule of the Cult, we ask if this is something that you can support. Followers of the Cult faith remain free to worship as they wish within the Drone empire. However, despite remaining faithful to your religion, we understand that the Cult government has seen fit to incinerate thousands of your faithful.

WE ask the world to censure the Cultists i n the strongest terms possible. At a minimum that should involve trade and other sanctions.

We shall also respond militarily in the strongest fashion possible. There can be no peace between the Drones and the Cult until the perpetrators are hunted down and punished

The prophet was intoning the sacred chants before an amassed congregation of several thousand in the town of "Disciples 1-2". Most continued to proudly display Cultist emblems and banners . . .

Suddenly and without warning, a rushing wall of flame consumed several hundred infants and children and within moments the remainder of the congregation before the video went blank.

"Those were the final images captured by our Holocamera before they too were consumed. As you can see, the Cultist leadership has apparently decided to explicitly target a civilian population , namely their own former citizens. We estimate civilian deaths could number up to 700,000, ALL persons that were citizens of the Cult. It is speculated that the Cult leadership was enraged that the citizens failed to resist the Drone presence


We can enumerate the estimated Drone deaths at 4023. The 4th armored group and the 16th Air Wing were completely destroyed. Both units were on R&R following the capture of the town. Active units outside the immediate blast zone suffered no loss of life

Rescue efforts are continuing but no survivors are expected within 4 miles of ground zero

Defence Minister Gonna Getcha in a briefing today decried the loss of innocent lives and indicated that an unprecedented effort would be made to "crush the Cultist threat".

Unconfimed reports indicate that the 1st, 3rd, 8th and 14th armored groups have been recalled from furlough while the 5th, 7th, 11th, 15th and 17th embarked on new unspecified missions. In addition, recruitment numbers skyrocketed resulting in the formation of the 22nd through 31st armored groups. Meanwhile The industry minister indicated that construction of helicopters and airplanes increased 42% over the previous year. The formation of new tactical air units is expected to follow

The deaths resulting from this test nuclear device is of course to be regretted, but when compared against the ghastly deaths to Cult brethern from the inhuman and unlawful advance of the Drones, many cult followers preferred it.

It doesn't bother the brainwashed supporters of the Drones but many in the free world abhor the ruthless and treacherous path to world domination displayed by the Drone faction.

The Drone faction would like to point out that it enjoys pact status with every other nation on Chiron and has never employed a device of mass destruction. This fact will likely change in the very near future.

In addition, the Foreman Flubber initiated peace talks upon arising to the leadership of the Drone faction but these were rejected by the fanatical cultists.

I was shocked in the wake of the Cultists use iof nuclear weapons to see that some nations continue to trade with the Cultists unabated. I would have hoped it would be "automatic" that trade sanctions be imposed. However this appears to NOt be the case. I therefore request all nations to end any pact or treaty status as a sign of condemnation of this use of such weapons

Cultist citizens today in the city of Disciples 3-4 spontaneously overthrew their Cultist Overlords and invited Drone governance. A nerve gas chopper immediately disabled its nerve gas pods anf then flew a suicide mission against Cultist infrastructure to atone for the use of such "hideous weapons".

Disciples 3-4 is a city a mere 8 'tiles" from the Cultist capitol and their revolution is seen as a sign of widespread dissatisfaction with the direction of the Cultist regime. When asked about the fear of "getting nuked", one former Cultis replied " you just have to do whats right. I saw the vids of them children and I just couldn't support that . I love PLanet and using them Planet Busters is the worst sin imaginable."

Undisclosed Drone forces have moved into the region. Meanwhile their are unconfirmed reports that the Cultists have again begun building a Planet Buster weapon on their northern continent. It is not anticipated to be completed for at least two years.

Governor Flubber in his address to the nation called this " a historic day which should greatly assist our operations to reduce the Cultist threat which threatens every nation on Planet
