My new, more aggressive strategy for technology acquisition is paying off, as I am now tech leader on Planet.

This turn, I completed cloudbase, and left Lando Carlissian in charge of the facility. Since I don't trust technology, I've decided to scrap the Cyborg Factory, replacing it with the Hunter Seeker Algorithm, a new encryption process which will replace my infantry probe defence force. Lastly on the SP front, I am building the Empath Guild. Although it's not very useful for me, I couldn't let it slip into the wrong hands, especially having gone to extreme lengths defending my bases from probes this far.

Lal's demise continues at a steady pace, almost completing step 1 of my simple 3 step plan for world domination.

I suspect you may be able to enact that master plan, but we shall see. Having Lal right next door in the jungle seems a little unfair from our good CMN, but then he does like to make it difficult for me And in any case, it's not over till the fat lady sings (And she sings in |[¬[¬7)

I entirely agree. He could at least have been outwith landbridge distance.

Perhaps it's since Hive is one of the worst affected by a small starting island - Yang's expansion is only limited to the amount of land he has access to after all - and Lal wasn't expected to grow so fat. That said, being Hive and limited in such a way is still better than being Angels and limited

I need a resend, kb, this is not my turn. Oddly, it isn't your turn either... In fact, I am at a complete loss trying to understand this. The turn I recieved is for Chaunk 2181. How can this save exist before I have played my 2180 turn? Is this some bizarre smac bug that I haven't heard of before?

Mea Culpa ... I edited my alpha_centauri.ini file to try to get the faction colors correct, but the part of the game handling turn saving went stupid over it.

Since I had no combat or random events, I put the .ini file back and I replayed the turn ... a turn replay message was generated, of course.

Sorry for the delay... I have been rubbing my hands together while looking at my new jungle bases.

The HSA and EG have been promptly completed, exactly 1 year after they were both started. And since Chaunk gets MMI next year, I've started building the Cyborg Factory again, just in case he wanted it. In fact, gaining the EG shows that my position isn't looking nearly as strong as I thought it was. With such strong infrastructure, your pop boom should be quite successful, Chaunk.

Hang on, are those nukes that you 2 are researching?
