  • So... you're bent on taking all the Gaian territory then, Sankis?

If I don't take it all, then I'll atleast take some and terraform it so it's seperated from the rest of the gaian isle.

        • All over in the nation of Data Angels, Talents and Drones alike stood completely drawn into the special report being aired across all available channels.

It was coming in live, every sight and sound unbarred. Could it be happening? A squad of Raphael needlejets roared across rocky xenofungal plains and emptied their armaments against a sensor defensive grid system that was erected by Angels themselves decades ago. They looked in amazement as squadrons of Michael attack choppers unleashed their righteous fury upon Hivean defenders in Society Grid base. Despite the furious barrage from Hivean perimeter defenses, the military intergity of Hivean defending units was utterly destroyed leaving behind isolated bands of desperate survivors whom offered only scare resistence to Angels missile rovers screaming down streets of the base.

At last significant victory has been won against the Human Hive! Angels rejoiced as they watch the Hive insigna simmering before vanishing and reforming into Angels' own and the base renamed to its rightful name - Alphaville.

Whispers everywhere predict that Newer Ciba City will be once again Angels....

...alas not all news were good that day of the great victory. Due to years of severe oppression by their Hivean occupators, citizens of Alphaville took this opportunity to wreak their revenge upon Hivean survivors.

The Council of Guardians has anticipated this and issued an order to all military units to intervene and prevent any atriocities against Hiveans captured. At the highest tier of the Angel society, they are determined not to lower themselves to the level of Human Hive by commiting such terrible crimes that the Hive commited against their people. Instead, they will receive fair trials and be punished accordingly.

Once the wishes of the Council was made to residents of Alphaville (sometimes at the end of gunpoints by Angel troops), they often disperse allowing troops to take prisoners into their custody. Unfortunately those of more stubborn persistence would not cooperate and soldiers had to intervene using force leaving behind some civilian dead. This left bitter taste in their mouths - they had recently liberated the base only to have killed some of their own people to save some Hive scum from what they probably rightfully deserved.

(In case it's not apparent, turn played and sent! )

          • Will the person who 'persuaded' Yang to sign a Peace Treaty with the Atlanteans please explain his reasons?

            • It is getting weirder: 3 bases have lost their starting minerals while I had hurried their production or which production should be finished now but who suddenly seem short of 2 or so minerals.

Mart, do you still have the save I sent you for the seamonolith? Could you mail it to me please. I like to compare it with my endsave here.

              Edit:

Mmm, there was an artillery duel between one of my ships and a Hive artillery unit, or at least there was such a message, so the Peace Treaty was 'signed' after the Hive turn.

                Played and forwarded.

HQ has released the picture below to the public. According to
Naval Reconnaisance it appears that a second marine task force
is on it's way towards the Gaian isle. Speculations whether
it's course will lead to the previous Nautilus captured base
Captains' Fury or further east is still not clear at present.

Oh crap. I may have done that. I opened a com with Yang for something, then when I was done I opened that window to see who he was at war with (Did you know he's at war with the PK? Is this recent or am I just dumb) I hit enter instead of clicking on cancel. I didn't pay attention to the text afterwards, since I just figured it was another "Democracy is evil!" thing he does. Sorry Did you lose anything due to this? If so i'll send some credits your way or something.

Nautilus Officals have no comment on the transport, however they are curious as to why there is an atlantean ship in their waters.

The Atlantean diplomats wish to assure Cpt. Sankis that no Atlantean vessels are closer to Nautilus waters then to Gaian waters, so technically we're still outside your territory.

Also, note that there never was a definite agreement on the Empire's eastern borders to date. Perhaps it is time after all to discuss this issue, especially in light with the rapidly growing size of land acquisitions within the Nautilus faction.

                    • 2207 to the Pirates.

I should believe that base trading is allowed except for trading a base for a base. You are free to donate bases to the AI and, I should think, demand a base from an AI for free.

                        ===========================================

The cities of Garden of the Deep, Captain's Fury, Razorbeak Wood, and Silverbird Park have been captured by the brave forces of the Nautilus Empire. The back of the Gaian Resistance has been broken! Nautilus Officals estimate that a complete victory will be obtainable in the five years.

                            • 2207 is played and forwarded!

                              Reload warning:
I first opened the turn in a modded version of SMAC, so wouldn't want to take the risk that things were changed.

Then when I reopened in the vanilla version, I had a fungal pop + native life that had to be taken care off. Thus I reloaded again for this pop gave me an extra free pollution mineral in my bases and the destroying of native life would give me too much extra energy, not to mention a most likely upgrade for the 'chopper(s) who needed to intercept those native lifeforms.

Third opening was like the first one as far as I could see, so no benefits were reaped from this.

The Kingdom has this year reached the one millionth citizen born
from Atlantean parents. Even without the Cloning Project and
the former Hive citizens within our faction our population level
would have been in excess of this number.

This makes us the second faction on Planet to round this cape.
