Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
With no offense intended, I propose we agree on guidelines --
-- on what conditions to expel TheRedMenace (if the turn is held up with him again)
-- on what conditions to expel any other player (including me, of course) repeatedly holding up the game in the future.
My proposals:
-- TRM gets three more days to respond this time; after this, we start looking for a replacement
-- long term policy: three "strikes" you're out, with a "strike" being an unannounced 72 hours (3 days) between receipt and sendoff, and 120 hours (5 days) counting as two strikes.
I think I already have one strike to my name...
Do y'all think this is liberal enough to be fair, but tough enough to keep things rolling?

I agree there should be a cut off for when someone just stops playing or makes it difficult for the game to progress by repeatedly delaying the game - but i think 72 hours might be a little too harsh.
I have always been open that I can only play at lunch times on weekdays.
So for example if a turn arrives at 2:00 pm on friday it is highly possible that I won't get that turn off to Minute Mirage until 1:30 pm monday - that gets very close to the 72 hour mark for me and doesn't leave a lot of room for manoeuver.
Also if someone is ill it can take a little while before being able to get to the computer again - even to post a "Sorry, I won't be around for a few days" message.
My proposal - make it 4 days for one strike, 7 for two and 10 for three (and out)
Alternatively consider this an advanced warning that although it is unlikely I might not make the 72 hour cut off every weekend.
I agree to the 4 day 1 strike limit. I've had times when I could not play on the weekends. Even so, I think with strikes involved, we should still take a vote to get someone off the island....
I'm fine with whatever time limit we decide to use. I think we are progressing too slowly at the moment, and if we continue with 1 turn/week, we'd be lucky to finish in 2005. We should aim at playing at least two turns/week, which means that FonnParr should get the second turn before the weekend. Of course, I would prefer three turns/week, but that would require spending only two days/turn, and it may well be beyond our reach.
OK, revised proposal based on the above
- "good form": no more than 1 day/person/turn (sorry MM, but I know for myself, at least, that much of the time that will be how it goes for me).
- 4 days: 1 strike
- 7 days: 2 strikes
- 9 days: 3 strikes
- 3 strikes: vote for expulsion
- this concrete case, however: I proposing commencing a vote to expel TRM if nothing is heard from him by 23:59 GMT on the 6th. Here's hoping this does not have to happen.

2109 off to USC. Had to reload, used the wrong password.
Sure feels good to get this going again...
