Mariam, santiago and yang are fighting with me. I'm winning against yang. The first 2 factions are very weak but I don't know why they would still make crass demands and declared war on me when I told them that they aren't getting anything.

Attack the weak and take a base or five and you will gain a submissive ally. You can then improve a few of their old bases and then give them back to that submissive for lots of incomeYou don't get to 300 losses without being a pretty exceptional goaltender.-- Ben Kenobi speaking of Roberto Luongo

But I have to keep attacking yang to make sure that he doesn't have time to rebuild and build like 100 rovers then it becomes unstopable.
What does a submissive ally do? And I want to rescue the Gaians but I don't know which base she is locked up in. And if you rescue her will she be your ally?

Yang has too many bases. After the bombings many of his bases close to me were starved down from a big number to like a 3. Same with ALL of the spartan bases.
The Hive is on the other side of the map and I can't seem to be able to send a probe team there because it will just get killed on the way.

I played a little on your later sav. notice how i used overwhelming amounts of concentrated air power, and i scrapped most of your useless naval fleet. i also probe raped yang, and have elite probes. you need to send LOTS of probes, and 3-4 transports to ferry units. youll want to do this, until you get experianced enough with the AI to take a whole empire out with 1 ground unit(like i am)
remember to farm your probe teams-leave a small isolated base you can sabotage over and over till your probe is elite. i lost 2-3 probes tihs way,but elite units-and elite probes-are worlds removed from their lesson bretheren, and stronger than linear mathematics would seem to indicateAttached FilesLast edited by Kataphraktoi; December 19, 2005, 20:13.if you want to stop terrorism; stop participating in it

actualy, the AI simply wont deploy planes unless it can see you,and its not agressive at that low level anyway. your perfectly safe in that game from air attack,i killed em all on the ground quickly myself.
honestly the AI is a sitting target in that game. you need to be alot more agressive, and making more units.you would win easily.if you want to stop terrorism; stop participating in it

And to Kataphraktoi, actually I got many of my ships sunk and rovers blown up by enemy jets on librarian.

d=me, the only problem you have is not enough units, and not agressive enough with the ones you have. you need to make a plan for removing the defenders of a base, and capturing that base. you need to deploy those probe units en masse and you need way more air units. you need to capture the WP at least!if you want to stop terrorism; stop participating in it

I guess most people will agree with me, that Uni is indeed the most powerful faction (and I'm not talking about powergraph), some even say it's overpowered.
In addition there are several steps upon taking which Uni's advantage only grows:
1.Virtual World - if you do not complete this SP, you are on par on other 'powerful' factions, if you do, you've more than doubled (elaboration: to double it would be to net the same amount of energy node gives, but holotheatres net more energy because they allow you to support 2 more citizens which mostly leads to doubling of overall energy output) your main bonus - network nodes.
2.PTS - this is optional, but many players know how powerful Uni is in VW+PTS ICSing.
3.EG - Uni is usually first at this. Knowing your enemy is half of the victory (knowing thyself is the other half).
4.Doctrine Air Power, MMI and CBA - the fact is Uni can arrive at those techs by 50's-60's if played effectively which is soo much sooner than any other faction, once you've got CBA installed, you're the ruler of the skies and can take out even born-to-be-killers Sparta, Hive and Believers.
5.HSA - voila, you've just more than nullified your only malus!
6.Finally - Orbital Spaceflight, if you've went for D:AP early missing out the almost dogmatic resource lifting b-line (you can always steal them, can't you? trade at least!), you're far far away from others when reaching Orbital. Once you get your first nutsats up, enjoy booming for specialists which boost your research even more.
In the hands of expierenced and adaptive player University is the most feared enemy, while naturally agressor faction like Sparta is usually pitifully weak and backward.-- What history has taught us is that people do not learn from history.
