  • I thank you for this useful site feature

So, there's a new "thank" button, and it's pretty thoroughly integrated into the site (you can search for all thanked posts by user, all posts a user thanked, etc.). Interesting. Whose idea was that, and what purpose is it intended to serve? It seems like it'll get spamtastic really quickly. And it's nowhere near April 1.

Annoying cluttery nonsense. If it doesn't already, make sure to have this feature send you both a pm and an email every time you give or receive thanks.

I doubt that, since you can just thank once per day.

No, it is a setting , I can also ban forums, usergroups and users from it. I can also make it so that you can onnly thank the first post. I had rather the guy in mind who asked in the Civ5 forum for help and wants to thank for the helpful anser.

We should be able to see how many thanks an OP has received from the thread listing on the forum page.

What a terrible feature... It will be abused far more than it will be used properly... and it just clutters up the page. Maybe it should be limited to the on topic forums only

As a moderator, Ming, you have to know that this is true of all features.

Ming is right, IMO. Also added features and knickknacks is what made 2.0 VB Poly so ugly, if ya'll remember.
