Oh my ... it's almost two years since I registered here. I thought it was less.

When did you start foruming, BTW?
Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

Yeah, scared me. Well, 3.5 years now, but will be over 4 years by the time Civ4 is out. Damn. It only seems like yesterday that I was posting here in the Civ3 forums, hyped about the coming release and checking civ3.com every day, and now it's 4 years later, checking the Firaxis Civ4 site every day and awaiting the Civ4 release and any new info... time flies.

Apolyton is Home. Apolytoners are family. What more needs to be said? This site must continue.

Thanks to Mark and Dan for all they do to provide the best site on the internet...period!

When I registered, IIRC. I'd lurked for about a month prior.

Nope, a part of these people will remain here. Just look at the new people who registered here because of Civ3, and many of them are now veteran members of the community. The same will be with Civ4. Yes, many will disappear after having posted once or twice, but we will also gain new prominent members, including Civ4 strategists and others .

                          Another statistic.
Users posted in the last month (9th of May and later): 987
Posted in the last two days: 537.

Conclusion: most active users actually post here almost every day .

I've been active on various fora since '98 or '99. The one I've been the longest on is CFC, where I registered in Aug 2001, and am still active.

I wonder what my post total over all fora is ...

I'm scared to think about mine, and then it's only about 12k. Some people have 30k, I think...
