I had heard it was a spam forum with a bit of roleplaying games tacked on. Never been there though so I don't know for sure.

If you think runing a tiny forum like Eventis is even remotely comparable to running the full-fledged behemoth of a website that is Apolyton, you truly have no clue about Apolyton's size or breadth of coverage. And scale issues aside, Eventis isn't exactly the most successfully run site on the web, as Kuci pointed out.

I think that IF the owners ever wanted to quit and hand over the site to someone else, they would most likely hand it over to the existing staff. Our combined knowledge covers most aspects of running the site, and of course many of us have been doing it for years. Mind you, the transition would still be huge and seriously challenge the survival capabilities of this site, but it'd be an infinitely easier transition than handing it over to outsiders...

What??? Not succesfull!?!

The site has now been "up" for a bit more than a year and we already have 100 registered members (50% of them are DLs though, and 50% of the non-DL members almost never posts there)... but apart from that, Eventis is a very successfull site
