The way the fall is conducted now, its exposure is some what limited to the OT and the community forum. Although DC's been doing a great job bringing it to the other forums, the on topic posters still may be less aware of its existence. For this sole reason I would support Ming's suggestion of giving it a permanant place where it resides and other people have an equal chance to view it.

Markos and Dan...
While I know the Apolytoners Hall of Fame elections are not really official, and they just represent how members feel about their fellow members... Wouldn't it be nice if there was some permanent place on the site where the information could be kept and viewed. Now, people only see it when the elections are running, and then it disapppears until the next round of elections.
DC has put a lot of work into this, and it would be nice IMHO. I'm sure that DC would volunteer to keep it updated
What do you think?
And what do other people think?

A good idea, Markos & Dan, you should consider this . Indeed, the HoF is so much a tradition now that it's official almost in a way, and the proposal really makes sense.Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator

And keep the old ones around. etc..."I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic. I think permanent location is a bad idea after all.
That way, less people will vote. Perhaps we should have one general HoF thread, and just redminder - place for votes threads elsewhere, without a need of being updated?"I realise I hold the key to freedom,

I think he is confusing threads and locations.
When voting time comes around, the multiple voting threads throughout the site will (likely) continue to be put up so that the voting period gets a large amount of coverage. The permanent HOF location is possibly similar to the links at the top of each page. One link lets you see the hall of fame, rather than having to wait every 6 months for the next round of voting to occur.I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).
