The way the fall is conducted now, its exposure is some what limited to the OT and the community forum. Although DC's been doing a great job bringing it to the other forums, the on topic posters still may be less aware of its existence. For this sole reason I would support Ming's suggestion of giving it a permanant place where it resides and other people have an equal chance to view it.

Wouldn't it be nice if there was some permanent place on the site where the information could be kept and viewed. Now, people only see it when the elections are running, and then it disapppears until the next round of elections.

DC has put a lot of work into this, and it would be nice IMHO. I'm sure that DC would volunteer to keep it updated

      What do you think?
This should have been put in a PM. See ya in a week.

And what do other people think?
      Sounds cool.

          Is this a dead issue?

            Probably low on the list.

A good idea, Markos & Dan, you should consider this . Indeed, the HoF is so much a tradition now that it's official almost in a way, and the proposal really makes sense.

It is an excellent idea. The little things REALLY extend the life of a forum. And bring in new people. And keep the old ones around. etc...

It is called "The sense of Community"...and 'Poly definately has it. It is the many little things like this that we share that makes all the difference.

                          Yeah I support this idea.

The Hall of Fame needs a permanent location.

I think permanent location is a bad idea after all.
That way, less people will vote. Perhaps we should have one general HoF thread, and just redminder - place for votes threads elsewhere, without a need of being updated?

I think he is confusing threads and locations.

When voting time comes around, the multiple voting threads throughout the site will (likely) continue to be put up so that the voting period gets a large amount of coverage. The permanent HOF location is possibly similar to the links at the top of each page. One link lets you see the hall of fame, rather than having to wait every 6 months for the next round of voting to occur.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).
